My friend has a motto she’s been using on buying new clothes or anything that’s not a necessity, before you check the price “how much would you spend on it” and if its way over what you imagined than it’s not meant to be
Mine is "How many hours did I have to work in order to afford this." That really saves me. Is this really worth a full 8 hour day? No? Probably shouldn't get it.
With all the respect to new editor I have some complains. Obviously my opinion is not that much important but the sound in first part or in 4:34 is too lound plus 1) I prefer the silence when Mikan talks because very often talking+music makes me overwhelmed, (btw 2) sticking with same sounds can be part of a brand and I just like Mikan's relaxing music), on the other hand some of the visual effects like We're here are really cute, adding subtitles is great too. And I'm done reviewing after 5 minutes. It's a little bit change in style, I feel like videos edited by Mikan were relaxing and this one is much more energetic, regardless I wish the editor good time with next projects
Omg the new editiiing was quite cute✨ as a humble suggestion… for the next video try lowering the background music a bit since it’s quite hard to get everything Vina is saying! Hope everyone gets this comment as a constructive critique and not as hate🩷
Just a note with the editing: I think it's very... 2014, with the busy graphics going on during the scenes. I also think the music was a bit too loud. If everything was toned down a touch I feel like it would be very true to your usual style!
Yeah I’m sometimes overwhelmed with all the graphics and text going on here and there. In the other videos I could focus more on what she’s saying - it was calmer 😊
This was a fun video! You guys are so great together. I love how Yasu seems to genuinely enjoy shopping with you and you guys have so much fun together. Have a good day!
11:06 It doesn't QUITE slay, but if you had other accent red accessories around (like hairclips and shoes) to bring the look together it would look awesome with that fit, it's very pleasant with the pastel pink as a background color. (At least on camera, maybe IRL it was a different story).
I think u could have upcycled the bathrobe cardigan as yasu called it lol..u can tea dye it a darker white and add lace trim and ties and some appliqués..I loved how it looked on you
That first pink fuzzy bag would’ve come home with me in a heartbeat! I also spotted a Pompom Purin plushie in the background that would’ve followed me home. 😊
Curated thrift/vintage stores are great for the vibes and buying one {expensive} thing. If you want that venturous feel you gotta spend a day hitting various rundown thrifts and second hand spots. (Been missing your fashion & thrifting content!
yay, a Mikan video! Thrifting in the countryside looks similar to the thrift stores I'm used to in SW usa, but with much cuter toys😢 ya, regular thrift stores are very hit or miss. Sometimes you get luckier going to areas that you know have the demographic you want (rich people areas might have more rich people items) but then again, chain thrift stores sometimes ship items they get to other locations, so that's not even a failsafe. I thrift all the time, and there are definitely certain stores I've just written off, cuz I never find anything cute in them. Luckily, I have (1!) that I've found that seems to consistently have hits. But that's 1 out of like, 20 shops around me. the vibey thrift stores have done the work of sifting all the grandma clothes for you, so that's why they are money money☹️ fun video, thank you! This is the first time she's using an outside editor yeah? I can definitely notice a difference in tone, not sure if it really fits Mikan's style. The captions are super cute
Yeah I’m myself not the biggest fan of the new editing style, it’s cute but the thing I really like about Mikan’s videos is how I feel like I’m talking with a friend, minimal editing suits her videos personally, but maybe it’s just because I’m tired of the mr. Beautification if UA-cam… TwT. Whatever the case is, if she’s happy with her new style of videos that’s all that matters I guess, just doesn’t suit her content imo
I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of the editor's work and I very much so prefer your editing style, at least when it comes to audio :( There is no need to put bgm over everything, especially if there is already so much noise and music going on in the video's audio, it made it more difficult to freely listen to the dialogues, and is just a bit chaotic. Not to mention the volume mixing is also an issue, the added bmg sometimes overpowers the original audio. Once again, i'm super sorry, i just thought a feedback would be a-okay
Notes for new video editor: all sub or no sub, please no whoosh noises, no sped up walking scenes, i like the price tag animation, Mikan please wear microphoneee ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for taking us along! Japanese thrift stores have amazingly good condition stuff. I was very jealous of the like new plushies. And Yasu is so supportive and seems fun to shop with haha.
@@stratosphere94 I mean..I don't think this is the editor's fault. The audio wasn't the best in the shop, what the editor could've done was to add subtitles to what she was saying as well.
@@iolandahope9766yeah, but the music that was put in made it even worse, it was drowning her out on top of already iffy audio. it was too loud and too ear catching for the audio quality
No shade to the new editor but I feel like I couldn’t fully enjoy this video because of all the effects and stuff. I love Mikan’s videos because of their calm nature and now this is giving fast paced influencer vibes and I’m not here for it. I also couldn’t hear what she was saying most of the time 🥲 if the music must be included, may I suggest that it only be during the parts where she isn’t talking? Some of the effects were so good though like the transitions and the price tag texts. I thought those were super cute!
No one: Absolutely no one: Me giving thoughts on the new editing style🤓: I assume this video was edited by the new editor you were speaking about in your previous video, but if I'm wrong, then.. Welp. Thats life. Anyhow, on to the essay. I took notes during this video and I will be telling them and I will occasionally compare this to your previous similar-ish video, the vending machine video. The reason why I chose that one was that in both videos the content comes from finding interesting things in a somewhat normal place by commenting, and reacting to them. Also the vending machine video was made withing a month so not lot of time has passed between these two. At the start, the background music in this video is noticeably louder, but it isn't so loud that it would bother really. The video had this grip on me, and I became really immersed in it. The occasional pop-up texts, and stickers gave great visualisation and entertainment. The overall vibe is more cutesy compared to the vending machine video due to the cute pink and pastel fonts and transitions used. The editing made the video feel like it would belong to my recommend list, and I would totally watch it to the end, even if I hadn't watched any of your previous videos. The video was well put and I enjoyed it. I would say that the vibes were different between this and the vending machine one. The vending machine video had this "come with us friend, we are going to explore something totally new and we are doing it in a chill way " and in this video the vibe I got was "here is well put content for your entertainment about what Vina and Yasu did yesterday". The homey feel wasn't really there, but it was serving better for keeping my short attention span engaged. The change is there as I mentioned it previously, but I think after couple more videos, I will get used to the new style, and how things are done, and it will feel like as if nothing has ever changed, but at the meantime we write essays about the change✌️ In conclusion, I can see and feel the change but it is a good change. Editing IS time consuming, so it is a smart investment to get an editor and I wish you all the best☺️ P.s Time for the mandatory disclaimer. Sorry for mistakes, English isn't my first language🙏

You are Stronger than me, I would have bought that Kuromi and that first bag immediately
really fun video
More thrifting videos!!! THE MASSES DEMAND IT. I love them. Also I guess I'm in the minority but I liked the editing on this video it's nice to see u trying different stuff out.
I've been in Japan for like a week and I'm already obsessed with HARD OFF
i feel like most thrift stores are a hit or miss. i have a few that i go too in my town, there's a vintage one with a mix of modern stuff and i've only bought bags and squishmallows from there. we have a main big thrift store, which is called savemart. i go there and have bought bags, shoes and clothes. so yeah it's always a hit or a miss for me.
I want those shoes so bad! I can't find them anywhere...
Oh my gosh!! I am a bag girl! I would go crazy in those stores.😊😊😊
