Well that does make sense. The show needed to show the audience why a Game was such a big deal. In the first episode, it does that when you see the consequences of a lost Game. In this episode, they wanted to drive the point home that a Game is a big deal and that citizens are afraid of them. This also shows what a big impact Bob has had on Mainframe since his arrival when he starts helping them win games and avoids sector nullification. In future episodes, citizens become less afraid of them because they know Bob's on the case and will win it for them. They even enter games themselves and lend assistance (or at least attempt to lend assistance..) It's a good way of character building and world building all at the same time. And a unique universe like this really needs some time dedicated to world building, or else nothing really makes sense or carries much weight.
You missed season 3 Arc 1. The Doom/Evil Dead Game. Rocky The Racoon Wacky Races/Toy Story game Mortal Kombat game (I think it was called immortal Konflict)
In later seasons, when the action was following Matrix and Andrea, there were sometimes games in other systems. In those cases, the voice announcing the GameCube was actually different.
Rainmaker Entertainment produced a err...."reboot" a couple of years ago called _"ReBoot: The Guardian Code,"_ but my advice is to stay clear. Not only does it totally butcher the source material, but it completely abandons the premise of the original series -- instead, it follows four high school teenagers (yes, this is a live-action series) who discover a hidden room at their school that houses a Mainframe computer. The four are transported into the computer - Mainframe - and are granted super powers that they must keep secret from the real world. Each episode involves them entering Mainframe, rebooting into their color-coded suits, and battling baddies. In a nutshell, it's discount Power Rangers. Megabyte gets a visual makeover, Hexadecimal is now subservient to Megabyte, and Bob, Dot, & Enzo are all written as though the events of the original series never occurred, as the writers admitted to having not watched anything beyond Season 1 of the OS. The Mainframe sequences are CGI, but somehow look worse than the OS. The unique aesthetics of Mainframe are gone, in favor of a dollar store Tron: Legacy look. But perhaps more insulting of all, _The Guardian Code_ introduces a character meant to be the "User" from the OS, who is a fat, balding, ReBoot memorabilia-obsessed gamer who lives in his mother's basement playing games all day. I am seriously not making this shit up. In effect, the character was meant to personify fans of the OS, and obviously mock them. Needless to say, the series was a terabyte-sized flop. Before it even aired, a trailer was released on UA-cam which was later removed because the response was so negative. On Rotten Tomatoes, it barely managed an audience reception score of 26%. Dumbest idea for a reboot ever. I can't believe execs at Rainmaker actually believed that idea would fly.
They made a comic closing that cliffhanger, but better not to read it: it was just bad. I always say I prefer to think that the finale of season 3 was the ending, and Daemon never existed.
That voice, the alarm soundbite and that purple cube were terrifying.
This show was so ahead of its time
i remember when this was on toonami when i was a kid. it was this, ronin warriors, sailor moon, and dragonball z =] ah nostalgia....
Those guys must be really busy whenever there's a Steam sale going on.
Warning: Incoming Game was as harrowing for me as the Red Alert klaxon from Star Trek.
Game Cubes and Borg Cubes both come through a Transwarp Corridor.
THE COLECTIVE WINS, SYSTEM ASSIMILATED.
To this day, I cannot *fathom* how Matrix thought having *Cecil* guard Enzo was a good idea.
It is not like he can ask anyone else. Matrix doesn't have any civilian friends.
Remind me who Cecil is.

"We're going to make it. WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT."
Mega Byte: "They aren't going to make it."
Love that part.
"Clean up crew level one."
Yup. PRESENTATION. MegaByte is a GigaByte among Super Vilains!
Dude.... I never thought this old video of mine would get so many views. I feel worse for missing some scenes, sorry you all!
This show was so epic haha. I would love to see it on TV again so I can relive my childhood xD
MrVidsAllDay I actually got the whole series in my computer, at least until I can properly buy them, so yeah, from time to time I rewatch it again :D.
If this happened in real life Id be all like "well screw math class!!!"
Oh god
I mean seeing as losing means a chunk of the city gets erased you gotta sort out those priorities.
Funny how I always knew about Kits from watching this show as a child growing up in Canada. Now I live in Kits in Vancouver.
WARNING INCOMING GAME!!
I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS
i am wtching this. i never say the orginal except for a few eps. AND THEN i found out its on amazon for a really good price!
If this is what games actually did to people's PCs, I would've destroyed like... hundreds of PCs by now. lmao
I couldn't include those games that didn't have the Incoming game scene.
Some of them were already there, without the scene.
OMG I loved this show so awesome.
I loved this show as a kid
Dropping quantum boxes on fools since age 4
Yep. That is pretty much how the insides of my computer react every time I switch on Cyberpunk.
oh wait, never mind, the music was on my computer, fail.
"warning incoming game" scary.
"GAME CRASH CONFIRMED, MANUAL RESTART" Pure Horror.
the best part of the show
It's very dramatic, I like the music!
How in the hell haven't they rebooted this show yet? Come ON.
That's exactly my question... but I still didn't get any answer D':
+Malumbrus ReBoot The Guardian Code.
Guardian Code is gonna be absolute garbage. They took a shit on our childhoods, yet again.
I bet someone can write a better fanfiction season 5 of reboot then Netflix can do
becasue they Killed Picard IRL alrady LOL. Can't have MegaByte do it a 3rd time!
Best show ever
How come you skipped the ones from To Mend And Defend, Between a Raccoon and a Hard Place, Firewall, Game Over, Daemon Rising, and Cross Nodes?
I was about or so when this aired. For whole I thought it said “warning, in coming came” no idea why…
1:58 Warning! Time to use the toilet.
2:13 This one is the only that depicted the game input as a creepy event

Haha! You should try putting Moonlight Sonata to your video, it worked very well!
Will this show ever get an update? A 'Reboot' if you will?

you still have a cliff hanger that way because Daemon was mentioned in that season.

Yeah, but I don't care, she was just mentioned, but we never saw her.
in the end a mistake was made and the show ended incomplete.

Nope. That's the late Tony Jay.
