This weekend we flew with East Anglian Kite Flyers for their annual kite workshop and display. No wind on Saturday which meant limited activity and Sunday the same until lunchtime.
Thank goodness for two day events. Flying on grass with an ocean breeze, mild temps, well behaved kites and public participation, I'd say that is a big win.
Well take it Glenn, too many unflyable days this year. We are lucky on this coast to have a few grassed coastal areas to fly in. Could use some Cali sun on many occasions though!
A great display, Jonny, and yes, those Brasington kites are hard to beat. A pity about day 1, but you made up for it on day 2. I know only too well the frustration of no wind - our winter has been mostly like that.
Like many places it’s been a tough year for flying. Mostly too much wind or rain and now not enough. We treasure the good days when we get them. Hope you’re well Jim.
Awesome show, Ron

Great display Jonny and nice to see the wind finally arrive to fly 🪁👏
@@kitecrewireland thanks Brian, just glad we got some kites up with so many people waiting to see them
