    I'd just like to thank all of the people who made this video possible. I'm learning a lot about the people who are in the south and what the ideal type of life style they want to pursue. You guys are "the real men": strong but smooth. Thank you again for all of the people in Low Country Cowboys. - a person from South Korea and Boston

      @Kian Park, I just came across your comment and I wanted to reach out and thank you for watching. we're currently working on fresh content for this channel but, in the meantime, I thought you might like our sister channel B1 horsemanship and our subscription website www.b1horsemanship.com. We thought that showing the uncut day to day training sessions might be of some value to folks. I hope you enjoy what we have to offer and thanks again! Richard

    This is two years old so maybe you have made modifications since then, but you need a shoot (single row) system. That would make spraying so much easier and effective, ensuring that each cow got a good dose as opposed to 'close enough' for some. Either way, I've changed my mind about moving south - those flies were the worst I've seen. ;-)

    I wonder if those flys are the same ones we get invaded by here in California. They're half the size of the regular house fly, and they show up in July and stay till October. They are so nasty. They really bite and torment the horses. Fly spray doesn't faze them. I resort to putting fly sheets on my 2 horses along with a slicker hood to cover there neck. And add a fly mask to there head. Lot of work to put on every morning and take off every nite. Around here they call them deer flys.

    I’m just now seeing this video 5 years after posting…..sure wish there was an easier and faster way for fly treatment. Too bad somebody can’t come up with a crop dusting type treatment for cattle!

    Holy Smokes! You're not kidding about all those flys! I've never seen that many before.

    I can't stand flies! That's the biggest thing I don't miss about ranch life. Though the fly problem for us went down when a bunch of bats made a home on our property. Our mosquito problem also went significantly down as well

    I hate fly season. You guys do go I usually end up trimming yearlings feet with them laying on the ground and my eyes burning from the sweat.

    • @LowCountryCowboys
      @LowCountryCowboys  5 років тому

      We've had to do that in the past ,too! These days I try to be a little more civilized about the whole deal. Laying one down is still an option though! Thanks for watching! Richard

    Do y’all ever use the feed through fly control in your minerals?? We use it in South GA and it seems to help with flies a great deal. You just have to make sure that everything gets the feed through. It kills the eggs and stops the cycle. Good stuff!!

    • @LowCountryCowboys
      @LowCountryCowboys  5 років тому

      Hi Haley. Thanks for reaching out. We have used EGR mineral in the past with varied success. Depends on the year and conditions I guess. Richard

      Low Country Cowboys true, we learned we had to run it through continually and use it in all of our stock. Horses, Showpigs, Goats, and cows. Gets pricey though.

    All my life ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to live on a cattle ranch and have horses and cows but being young and stupid I did other things I'm very very good with dogs and I'm pretty good with horses I'm not as good as you probably AR because you've been around them your hold life I think the reason I'm good with dogs very good with dogs my hole life . You been around horses your hole life but I've never probably be as good as you AR around horses your hole life so very much and your family like you have such a wonderful family with your kids and your wife I Envy everything about your life if I had it all to do over I would choose your life over any other life I think it's what God wanted me to do it now I'm older and not able to do the things that I used to do headed but if I ever get the chance again and God allows me to do it I'll buy another horse God bless you and your family and your Ranch and please sir don't forget to send your kids to church so they can learn about our Lord Jesus Christ because I think he's coming back real soon I've been listening to the prophets in the world and they say that he has told them that he has coming back real soon and I do not want to see any Guardian now so please sir go to church and turn your life over to the Lord Jesus Christ so you will not go with the rest of the people in the world may God bless you and your family and may Jesus Christ be with you forever

    Omg why dont u spray the areas with fly killer, along with the cows.. that is out of control. I work on a 90 acre ranch and I've never ever seen it that bad.

      We won’t have anything ready to sell until fall of 2019. They will be consigned to the western bloodstock sale in Ft worth during the NCHA futurity. We are in western SC along the Savannah river.
