First thing the man pass his seed on. So if your father is black and your mother is white. Guess what you are black and visa versa. Black people in Jamaica went through hell unpaid servitude. Everyone else who came after us got paid. Yes life was hard but what do u expect in the 1800s. Why not use your talents to fight on behalf of the black people who were treated so disgracefully and not paid.

@MrZapparin His father stuck around for a fair while but found it hard to get employment and died suddenly. He was a good few years older than Cedella.
Does nobody know that black people did not originate from the west indies.... I mean my fooking word lol. The taio and carib's were the indigenous population of the Caribbean. They looked just like the native Americans, Mexicans and other central Americans... (NATIVE AMERICAN LOOKING ALMOST ASIAN IN APPEARANCE). Also Asians have a longer history than black slaves in America, they are the people who, in fact, first brought cannabis to Jamaica. The Indians, to be exact. That's why the Hindi word for it is still widely used...GANJA.
We need to get reparation for our forefathers and more. Once that is dealt with then we can deal with the paid servitude problem and how they were treated. I understand that it was difficult but it was a choice. Im sorry that my comments may come off as bigoted. Hopefully you see my point of view.

There's afro Mexicans that aren't recognized...afro guatemalans of the cost (garifuna people) that arent shown/ acknowledgeed
Yes!!!! Thank you!!!! 1Nation4Life
Always!
How are they forgotten?
Jamaica has the best culture on the planet.
True they share one culture, but considering a jamaican man came up and told her she's not even jamaican, clearly not all know the history of all the groups in Jamaica. All they see is the Rasta man as Jamaican.
And the others are forgot.
Where are all the fingers of twitter yelling cultural appropriation 🤣🤣
🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
Go back and read your own history. Indentured servitude and chattel slavery are not the same and should not be compared, especially by the cultures that perpetrated it. There is a difference between volunteering oneself to be owned for a set period of time and being kidnapped and owned, your children being owned, their children and and so own for hundreds of years.
Is There any arab jamaicans
Yes we had some in Kingston
@@lloydearle4377 Damn really do you know more about them because its very rare
Plus if I were a foreigner I wouldn't believe y'all were Jamaican either
Sins of the fathers...what else....sighhhhh
How are they forgotten ?
Is this in school books anywhere or coming soon? Know they are taking slavery and racism out in the coming years but fantastic info to understand jerk chicken can be made by the white man.
One love
I wasnt aware

Amen!
1:53 She's a cute girl :D
Smh, "prejudice"... oh please... you own most of the capital of the country and you segregate yourself in your nice non-black neighborhoods and then you call yourself "hidden and oppress"... lmao, call it how it is please and stop making yourself the victim of in this storyline...
interesting how you see an entire race as a faceless organism rather than individual people with varying experiences. News flash there are white Jamaicans without wealth who live in poverty. you would benefit from the documentary if you ever had the attention span to watch it. Though i doubt your bigotry and hate would allow you to hear people outside of your cast system.
@@ForgottenFaces001 No, there isn't. There are White Jamaicans with less than other rich white Jamaicans but comparing to the majority of the population where they are in extreme poverty and live in the ghettos, there are none. So, again, how are you oppressed and hidden? Smh
@@thatguybutitsactuallyagirl5384 you could watch the documentaries on the farming community of seaford town Jamaica there are white Jamaicans who struggle in poverty and we documented. Or you can live in a world of fiction that suits your victimization mentality.
@@ForgottenFaces001 lmao the only time one here with a victim mentality is the colonizer pretending to be oppressed. These White farmers in Jamaica have whole ass gardens and territories in which they have constructed houses! Do they live in the ghettos; possess nothing and not even a house? Yeah.... right! "Struggle with poverty"
@@thatguybutitsactuallyagirl5384 thank you for displaying the racial hatred and bigotry that is so common in the Caribbean. Apart of the point if the documentary is to expose the hatred white and Asian minorities face in places like haiti and Jamaica. Thank you for reinforcing one our points.
1:20 so this man is a thomas fitzpatrick 1 b or 1 c. or even in the 2's if he chooses to be. he is Irish german jamaican , which is a superior level of white caucasian. (yellow due to some historical conflicts after the most evolved animals arrived at the Isle of Man. and the netherlands , the dutch for instance, and the australians and germans and scandinavians continued to explore other distant lands and ways of killing to or way of battles and wars with beasts and other things.
Out of many, ONE PEOPLE
First thing the man pass his seed on.
They are Jamaicans.
Jamaica must look aftervm them,or Jamaica will be no different from the oppressor.
Not just Jamaica all of the caribean Islands has mixes but black is dominant race in the carribean they are the indigenous people of the land .
The way she worded it at the beginning.. the slaves were free.. like that made everything..
No African enslaved no China man or no German man..
Small fish
Africans did enslave Europeans, read about the Barbary slave trade.
Wasnt bob marleys father irish??
Think his Mum was white or mixed/light
He was Norval Marley a White Jamaican from Clarendon of English and even some Syrian Jewish descent. He did the very decent thing and married Cedella ,Bob's mother despite the objections of his family who cut himout of his inheritance as a result.
@MrZapparin His father stuck around for a fair while but found it hard to get employment and died suddenly. He was a good few years older than Cedella.
The vast majority of Marley are English. It was a only used as a substitute for Ó Mearlaigh in a few instances in Ireland.
No, he was was English.
absolute rubbish
Better not tell the pro black Americans this they may fall flat on their heads, I love all people, But not everything people do🤷🏽♀️
Does nobody know that black people did not originate from the west indies....
Bommbo clannnn whaat?
We need to get reparation for our forefathers and more. Once that is dealt with then we can deal with the paid servitude problem and how they were treated. I understand that it was difficult but it was a choice. Im sorry that my comments may come off as bigoted. Hopefully you see my point of view.
1:15 he is a thomas fitzpatrick, or thomas bernard fitzpatrick type or category 5 a, b , or c , or d. he is not exactly a 6, nor is he a 4.
Sevy
2:31 so white refers to race not to ethnicity. so a group of white people may have different ethnicities.
but, an ethnicity is refering to more than merely the color of skin or the colors of a person or animal or human.
A tiny bit of a Jamaican accent
WHAT?! YOU CAN"T BE RACIST AGAINST WHITE PIPO!!!! (JK)
Where the fuck am i anymore
Arrrrgh Matey
1:15 not that he is not asian, but he focused on perfecting his itty bitty inglish, or english way too much on things that were already well proven.
Jamaicans & Dominicans, Latinos & Hispanics, are a mixed race of people… I HATE that because I look like a “Light Skin African American”, when I say im Hispanic or Dominican, they wanna call me “Afro-Dominican”, that is not a thing, I am DOMINICAN ❤💔😔
Im just a Dominican Man born into a huge Dominican & Puerto Rican Family. Im no denying that African was mixed into us, im just not African, im Dominican.
I wish people would understand this about the “Americas”, its a melting pot. All the other races got mixed into the colonies of all the superpowers at the time, Portuguese, Spain, English, French, Italian (Christopher Columbus), & bunch of Asian, African & Europeans both before Columbus, during and after.
