he needed to get Mahrez and Vardy in the beginning of the second half, to keep some pressure on Chelsea and play counterattacking....

I agree but they could hold 45 minutes easily with those 2 players....Chelsea would never attack knowing that Vardy and mahrez are on the pitch,,, anyway, hope they ll have a result next saturday, if not, this tactics would not have served

I think Ranieri missed something here. When you have a winning team, why changing it !!! Slimani scored two goals in his first game with Leicester city last week, he was extremely motivated, this guy is a natural scorer. He should've kept him, anyways, this is just my opinion.

he need to keep Slimani and Mahrez really fit for saturday game against United . and he also need to play another players who doesn't really get much playing time for ex Ulloa and Schlupp to keep them for leaving the club in January window

It's the EFL cup, the least important competition. Hence, a 2nd team starting. Keep the starting 11 fresh for Man utd on Saturday and Porto in CL next week.

Leicester deserve the credit for holding 2-0 chelsea was lucky to even comeback and scored 4 goals haha should be 2-0 all the way
