Hi Lesley! I’ve recently come across your channel and your love for local Goan food deeply resonated with me especially your visit some of our personal favourite places and appreciating them the way we do. You should most definitely try Cotta Cozinha in Betalbatim for their stuffed squids, chicken/beef xacutti, kheema naans and of course a tender coconut panna cotta 🤍 It would be our utmost pleasure to treat you guys someday!
Hello Lesley, we started watching your channel couple of months ago, we live in US but are born and brought up in Mumbai. I have visited Goa (mostly South Goa) during my school summer vacations as my mum's family had roots there before moving to Mumbai. My mum and her sisters had friends just like yours, you guys remind of the good old days. Goan food is the best in the world! You are doing a great job of showcasing the local flavors of Goa. Me and my 8 year old son watch your videos with delight, he loves seafood! We are visiting India for his summer vacation and will be coming to Majorda for a trip. I hope I see you shooting your video in some restaurant while we are there 😄
Your Drives through Goa, to your destination, shows glimpses of the terrain. You showcase each epicurean adventure, in such a way...I feel you have taken me along too. Just love your channel.
Thank you for doing this video! It’s been 2 years since we visited Sharda. We used to go for Thali every Wednesday. I think they have grown rapidly and you are so right just like Ritz; who funny enough recently expanded the Benaulim location. Both restaurants have more tourists, which explains the prices lol. Glad you had a good lunch! Can’t wait to have Thali’s at the places yall have recommended. Thanks so much for sharing my channel link. Appreciate you both. Happy Monsoon❤
I like watching your videos and hearing all the comments from you and Maria about the food and everything.I share your videos to all my friends and relatives.Take care😊
Fish Thalis are looking super yummy. Goan local food is spectacular. Every time I watch your video I am full of desire to visit Goa. Cheers to you both :)
Hello @Lesleyingoa It was a pleasant surprise to meet Maria & Jaya at Benaulim Beach (although we missed meeting you). We love watching your vlogs & wait for your videos & recommendations. Few of the places which we found worth mentioning & visiting again were Cota Cozinha (Sarpotel, Crab Xec Xec & Pork Chops) & Robin's Ark (Steak). But for us Goa peaked at "Little Banana", Benaulim. This humble place epitomises Goan food, vibes and culture. The view of the Church, Portugese houses, the shack set up, love for football, reasonable yet yummy food, lovely people is what defines Goa and Little Banana perfectly portrays all of it. Please introduce these places to the wider audience as we would love to watch you guys relish their food.
Hello Leslie and Maria watching your channel from couple of months thank you for sharing so many eateries in Goa . visiting Goa next week will surely try few wish to meet you and Maria ❤
hey Lesley .. thanks for lovely vlogs and letting us know the best places to eat seafood in goa .. ur videos make eat a little more than i need to... also wanted to know what u do for living and where u stay.... thanks ❤
Very true, Peter. In some ways for better, like Zuari bridge, but in too many ways for worse. Lot of uncleanliness and garbage in Goa now, especially in the cities
I also to explore food. So i try different restaurants. I request you to try 'Shith Kaddy ' restaurant at pilar. Known for its speciality in Seafood and is also very Price friendly.
Hi Leslie and fly, you'll are practically eating and exploring Goan cuisine every day, how do you maintain your health, cholesterol and bp, can't afford to eat beef every day, in Bombay beef is banned, give us also some health tips.
I wish I got to know you were coming to Sharda.. I stay close by... Would have dropped in to say Hi to you both❤. The Thali here is okay okay. I also had Chonak Thali few months ago. Do try visiting Parab Fish Home Thali... Very small joint but excellent food!!
it is the skin of the kokum fruit. the dried skins are called petals because of their shape and colour after drying. it's very sour but also has a distinct flavour for which there is no substitute
Hi Lesley, wanted to recommend this really great place in Margao called "Longuinhos" It's an old place around 73 years old but the good is awesome... We had beef steak, Pork sorpatel, and Hadmas.... It was "Heavenly" as you would call it... Hoping to see you in your next video here.
Ive been binge watching your videos since a week.. i feel you dont have to show that youve paid.. we all know you're videos are not a paid promotion thingi :)
Thank you, Rodney. We do have to show that we pay because there are always new viewers who are not familiar with us. And on top of it, even when we show that we pay, people still accuse us of doing paid publicity!
Ritz Classic at Panjim used to be a favorite - went there recently after a long time, and the chonak thali was tasteless. I discerned a huge drop in quality, just like you were alluding to...
I don't know why I love these two ❤ they r just amazing, every video of theirs are just soothing
Thank you so much
Same here 👍🏻

Okay thanks. We will check it out sometime. Had noticed the place when it was in Curca

Hi Leslie and fly, you'll are practically eating and exploring Goan cuisine every day, how do you maintain your health, cholesterol and bp, can't afford to eat beef every day, in Bombay beef is banned, give us also some health tips.
Hi Savio, we do not eat out every day or eat red meat often. Right now we eat out max once a week so are publishing only 1 video a week
I wish I got to know you were coming to Sharda.. I stay close by... Would have dropped in to say Hi to you both❤. The Thali here is okay okay. I also had Chonak Thali few months ago. Do try visiting Parab Fish Home Thali... Very small joint but excellent food!!
Hi yes Parab is very much on our list. One of the best in South Goa 👍🏼
Woh what a nice place for lunch
In 🇮🇳 South Goa state very 👍 good demand order for placing food Lovers 😍
Thali rate?
Yummm...feeling very hungry..dont feel like like eating anything thats available here at home..😢
Haha we understand!
Hello could I ask what is the sal kari.
It’s a digestive drink made with dried kokum petals
@@lesleyingoa petals or fruit, just looked it up and it is like prunes or tamarind, is it sour or sweet.
it is the skin of the kokum fruit. the dried skins are called petals because of their shape and colour after drying. it's very sour but also has a distinct flavour for which there is no substitute

Hi yes Caroline, Longuinhos is an old favourite. Have been going there for decades, since college days. Might make a video sometime
One of best restaurant

Every word from you is gold boss
Mast re😅
They are the first to bring the tandoor to margao.
Ritz Classic at Panjim used to be a favorite - went there recently after a long time, and the chonak thali was tasteless. I discerned a huge drop in quality, just like you were alluding to...
It’s not nice now at all. Curry in smaller places is much better
The fish curry will not get spread all over the thali If you make a deep portion at center in heave of boiled rice and then pour curry and enjoy .
Thanks for the tip!
Nice
Lesley how about starting our business ,if you are intrested ( Martin Lesley kitchen)?
Haha I will leave kitchen business to the experts and stick to eating!
You remind me of my friend Alfredo botelho
Do Check out Cafe ritz in Panjim near Hindu pharmacy.
Grumpy ladies 😂
Mam it was not mutton suka but seems like mutton masala. And sitting in packed area. Not interested to goo there from my side 🫳
Yes exactly it was more like mutton masala
They don't pay salary to staff
