She also goes on to beat women twice her age for the gold soon after facing her first loss and the disillusionment and doubt that come with that. Overcoming a treacherous background---incredible story; Olympic Gold medalist at 17--amazing story. Doing both--just astonishing!! At the same time she was also a very sensitive, gentle, earthly, and honest young woman with a great sense of humor. Sorry for gushing like this, but I was really blown away by Claressa's story.
