Just curious why Mumm-Ra the Ever Living went for $60 and this version goes for $75? Especially when this version doesn't come with as many accessories or a cape? What warrants the extra $15? Inflation? San Francisco rent money?
Great review! It’s crazy how much different he looks than the toon version. I too really loved this toy as a kid, so I had to have this. The price is a little high for him, but damn he’s cool!
Ah, LJN Mumm-Ra and his ‘Grace Jones in Vamp’ headsculpt (or is that just me?) I’m really liking all these toy inspired repaints, and think their slight inconsistencies are totally fine, they’re all very close but as you suggest, not absolutely slavish recreations
I think they did a great job with the toy version. I originally thought they're just gonna repaint the animated version. Too bad they seem to have a problem doing the same homage for TMNT ultimates from playmates
Dang, I wish more toy companies would do their swivel knees like Super7, since it's effectively a shin swivel instead of needing a calf or boot cut on the figure. My Black Series figures usually have a redundant thigh swivel with their single jointed knees.
The swivel on the knees has almost no range of motion compared to a proper boot/calf cut. But it doesn't really matter anyway since Super7 tends to give their figures a boot cut as well.
@@dannycruz5446 Yeah, the doubling up on the knee and boot cut seems redundant/pointless, especially since Brian Flynn is adamant about minimizing breaking up the sculpts for the figures. The majority of the figures I've got that do have the swivel at the knee for the lower leg can go a full 360 while bent, including some of the larger guys which I was surprised by.
I love the regular version but this is a pretty spot-on reinterpretation of the vintage toy and will consider picking this one up.

The $60 price on EL Mumm-Ra was made when all Ultimates were $45.
You barely show him with the Ultimates version also from Super 7.🤔🤨🧐🙆
Yeah that's a weird choice

I have him and ditto for the rest of wave 6 and Invisible Tygra!🤗😎👍🙏
Ready for Super7 to reveal White Ranger Tiga powa.
It's a nice tribute to LJN. Good solid job by super7, but i personally prefer the Cartoon version with the Cape. Gives me more childhood memories.

For that price they should have given us another head sculpt.
As a kid I would remove mines helmet to double as panthro lol.
Can Pumra hold the swords? I want them for him.
I prefer this version because of that face.a perfect undead but still alive looking,it is very disturbing.

No, too plastic looking for me.
