Love the video. Have been to the Gila cliff dwellings and winter camped there. The only other people were a German couple in a RV during this time. I prefer nature sounds to music on trail videos.
Just discovered your video - you got some really nice shots! I especially enjoyed the elk. I did a loop hike out there a couple of years ago, much like yours, but in reverse. I did not push out as far as you did, so it was nice to see Lilley Park. Plan on going back out there soon to do a loop between Snow Lake and Lilley Park. Thanks again for sharing.
Nicely done video. A tip for you: when you know it's going to get cold at night, fill your water bottle(s) with boiling water and put it/them in your sleeping bag (make sure the caps fit real tight). It not only will help you stay warmer overnight, you'll also have ice-free water in the morning. Thanks for sharing!
After several years of camping in Minnesota, including the winter, I've learned a thing or two about staying warm overnight. Would love to come with you on your next hike however, it's been about 15 years since I last did any backpacking.
Nice music! Great video. Visiting NM (from Wisconsin, not too far from where Aldo Leopold called home) in July and thinking of visiting the Gila Wilderness.
Strong work in December! Enjoyed the educational moments and your challenges. What camera did you film with? Didn't see a tripod on your pack. What would you do differently next time? Thanks for sharing. K

Now that's some wisdom! You should come with me on my next hike

Fantasic video! I really love the educational aspect that you put in this video. Thank you very much.
Great video! Really enjoyed your work. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Really enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing... My hat is off to you for the accomplishment in such demanding conditions.
This is a great one, loved the variety. I was here in 2016, there's some nice hot springs in the area. Thanks
Great video man! Heading out tomorrow to TJ Corral heading towards little bear canyon and then into rhe Jordan hot springs!😃🏕

I use a Tamrac Zipshot mini tripod, it folds up like camping poles.
And I would have brought a 0 degree sleeping bag lol
Not really too sure about the white tailed deer you saw
Terrible music selection….
