Nats not invented lurk, he created certain setups on certain maps on certain agents that became meta. Bro lurking in CS GO is not even close to lurking in valorant, because of the trips, cameras, recon agents and other stuff, its more complicated and Nats created the meta around that. Forsaken is too inconsistent otherwise he would've won at least 1 international tournaments. nAts has 3 trophies, 1 masters and vct emea. Even if we dont count trophies, his consistency is unmatched, he carried on every team he played.

As someone who has been ranked for other games (smash ultimate) you are 100% right, people don’t realize pros are split into about a 90/10 split of players. 90% of players worked their asses off to become legends at their respective characters, countless hours doing the same exact thing to perfect it even if you may only use it once in a match every 5 sets. Then there is the 10% of players who are just naturally godlike at the game and don’t need to put much effort into maintaining that. I am part of the 90%. Once most people realize they are in the 90% as well, they’d realize they are just lazy and don’t want to grind. As such in everyday life lol.

Based on consistency, clutch moments, not necessarily international events I can think of 3 people who are the contenders for Goat status - Aspas, Forsaken and Derke. Personally it is a tie between Forsaken and Derke.

I love nats. He impacted how ı see the agents and how ı play them as well. I would give him all the credit he deserves for setting the tone of playing viper/cypher professionally. Even to this day, people uses his set-ups in professional games, the setups he created and detailed. But no need to made him to look he is the GOAT just because he is your friend lol

If we go based off of ACS and Rating then the winner should be TenZ by a long shot, TenZ had 289.4 ACS and 1.35 rating when Alfa had 229.2 ACS and 1.31, nAts had 265.9 ACS and 1.28 rating. So yeah the winner should be TenZ based off stats.
Definitely not, you're comparing a duelist with 2 sentinels. nAts and Alfa got those ratings in a role where you don't engage enemies as much. That should tell you how insane their performances were. For example, if you compare Alfa's all time ACS across agents you'll find that it's significantly higher on Raze than on KJ or Cypher simply because he's expected to take more duels. ACS doesn't reflect things like reliability, clutch factor, trading teammate deaths, importance of specific kills etc.

Alfajer over TenZ is crazy considering TenZ had the highest ACS out of anyone throughout every tournament. ACS was used to decide the other semi final but they didn’t use it for TenZ vs Alfa Semi Final. naTs winning is fair cause he’s in Liquid but I don’t think he has had the BEST performance ever. Also Demon1 went out too early.
