The reason why the case of the global version doesn't cover the hinge is that the hinge cover scratches the surface of the screen protector of the outer screen. I do have the Chinese version and unfortunately it has this design flaw. You can also see this on some other reviewer's videos
My chinese store gave me new covers that don't cover the outer hinge. Original from vivo. For free. Because the first one definitely scratches the screen protector
@@proudeuropean2 if u want the best of both worlds there is a quick solution. When opening and closing the screen just move away the hinge cover with your finger. Since the flap is flexible it easily moves. I found this as the easiest solution. I don't wanna take the risk of using the phone without hinge cover.

Yeah I found this too so don't use the hinge protector case....as the spring is just a little too eager.
As soon as my phone arrives. I put front screen protection. So I didn't notice

@@ParissaKhoury don't know. I don't have fold 6. But for me fold 6 price is about 2 times more than x fold 3 from China:) and I don't belive is better than vivo

I am writing to express my concerns regarding several issues that have arisen with my Vivo phone xfold 2 following the most recent software update.
Since performing the update, I have encountered the following problems:
The sound no longer functions, even when using headphones.
The battery level displayed on the main screen is inconsistent with the level shown on the secondary screen when opened.
The selfie camera is intermittently working; sometimes it functions properly, and other times it does not respond at all.
and when I contacted customer service they couldn't find a solution. a real waste of money too disappointed

Best foldable I’ve used (and I’ve had a few) can’t really fault it but I’ll admit I’ve sold it on already. I do this every time with foldables as I get paranoid and baby them too much. I’ll learn one day 😅

What kind of apps can you download? Can you download and run google apps although they run on Android? Does funtouch have a large volume of apps?
You found the sun in Devon, well done! It feels wrong to charge more for the global, but we don't know what their true cost of business into the rest of the world is. - Those conveniences are worth something to me, but maybe not £500 of value.

When you said Verizon and other smaller carriers won't work, were you referring to the Chinese Rom version or the global?

No. Look at your average ram usage. Until you go over your standar ram capacity you probably never feel a difference

Great video, but you are the only reviewer of the Fold 3 Pro who ignores the damage the case of the Chinese ROM version of the Fold 3 Pro makes to the front screen wile you open it! Just look at the screen protector, I had to cut mine 😅, I am glad they got rid of it in the global version 🎉 makes all the sense in the world
The global version is always the only option for me for any Chinese phone. I don't want to deal with the headache that comes with the Chinese version.
Fold 3 global just works with everything, no need for all the monkeying around. The only wish that camera would be greater. I think S23 ultra had less blurry photos with moving objects. Hopefully samsung will catch up hardware wise with Fold 7(just put two 2 s25 ultras together and call it fold7 lol).

I think my first Apple iPhone was the iphone 3
nevertheless one thing I like about the oneplus open oxygen OS is being able to open up 3 apps at once and even a floating app as a 4th to multitask

If there was a way to trade in my Fold 5 towards this, I'd probably get this over the Fold 6. But I've had the Fold 3, 4 and now 5, so I might as well get 6 too, lol.
Dude, I have the original X Fold and the Z Fold 5. It's not even a competition, hardware wise. Get the X Fold 3 Pro - Global Edition UNLESS you want Dex & Stylus support. Everything else should be similar.
I bought the S Pen Pro for the Z Fold 5 thinking I would keep it for a few years but this XF3 is calling me!
@@erictayet they just unveiled the Honor Magic V3 and they're about to unveil the Mix Fold 4. Both will be better than XF3P. But either way, like I said to start, unless there was a trade in offer I could use, I can't get any of them. The ZF6 is all I can get.
@@clevern3rd102 indeed, these phones are not easy to get. I have to go to Malaysia to get it and I'm not sure the Global edition is out yet. Malaysia has Vivo service centres so I could get it repaired if needed. Third party repair shops don't have access to the original parts.
As for Honor Magic V3, it looks lighter and may have more RAM but, the camera has better low light and screen size is bigger for the XF3Pro. That's why I got the X Fold over other makers years ago. Colours on the Vivo XFold is also more natural and less processed.
I was never a big fan of Xiaomi phones, could be the software. My kids are both using Xiaomi phones. Those have great value but the software feels less appealing.
Maybe I will go to Malaysia and check these 2 out and see if the Global XF3Pro is out or not. That said, if the Honor and Xiaomi are using China ROM, well... the choice for me is clear.
I also saw leaks about the ZF6 having better cameras. Will be interesting to see how that stack up against the S24 Ultra.

You cannot use a android box and use android auto on the China version. I've tested this.
so you tested it lol... android box is connected to car with SIM installed! chinese phone then connected to box via bluetooth... well done on testing lol
@@AverageDadOfficial no I tested an android auto wireless box. This converts the wired signal to wireless trough an app. This should normally also have a chance of succeeding. Using an Android AI box (as they are called) is possible but takes away a lot of functionality. Also, why the 'lol'? I don't feel taken seriously when I actually watch all your video's. I honestly expected a different reply, but maybe that's just me.
