this is an amazing song... I've always liked Kiss..... Definitely had a couple of their songs on my playlist over the years...... But about a month ago my non verbal autistic daughter started randomly having a bunch of Kiss songs on her Internet browser searches.... I thought it might be a one off thing and didn't think much of it... until she started singing a song with me on a drive to the store recently. I was so surprised she knew the words!! I asked her more questions and was stunned how much she was aware of the band i.e. Song lyrics, Member names, and even the personas...(starchild, space ace, etc). It has been fun and touching, seeing her excitement and joy singing their songs. It has also rekindled my overall interest in the band and this song in particular was one of the gems I didn't really remember. I have been playing the songs she seems to know and this one is now a personal fave! Is very cool to find out you have something that you mutually enjoy with a special needs child that she discovered undependently. It has connected us even more. She also has indicated that she wants to be Paul Stanley aka "starchild" for Halloween. How cool is that? She never fails to amaze and surprise but this was the most 'wow" moment yet......😊😁
Dynasty and Unmasked are the perfect albums to introduce a kid to. 1979-1980 were weird times for KISS. They may have gone a more pop/disco vibe at that time but the songs were still solid. I'm 51 and grew up on KISS. Followed them since getting the Destroyer album when I was 4. I even like The Elder.
People always said kiss was just a gimmick they were nothing without their make up. But as I listened to my kiss albums. ... I don't see the make up I only hear the music. Kiss Army For Life.
It's true. They'd of never made it without the makeup. Ironically they'd of disappeared in 83 if they didn't take it off and vice versa in96. Sure, they ABSOLUTELY had good tunes but The makeup is what made them unique.

100 percent agree! I loved this song when I was in high school in the early nineties. Had all the classic kiss albums and rejoiced when Hot in the Shade and Unholy were charting! The song gets stuck in my head at random times! It's always Gene's baseline that goes on repeat and Ace's wonderful bell-like chords that truly compliment the bass. Great timeless tune. My 14 yr old grandson says this song reminds him of me and his Papa lol He really likes Kiss. His great uncles would be so proud. They were in the Kiss Army back in the 70's.
Now it is 2019. I am 52 years old and I listened to this song when I was 12 in 1979. Loved this song and the band in that time. Sometimes now I'm listening to Kiss and I still like it. Dynasty was my second vinyl-album at this time - the first one was "Kiss Alive II" - still own them. Nice to hear that young folks are still listening to this kind of music.

2:08 Paul playing lead is something I always felt was overlooked on this one.
It's hard to believe 45 years ago I've become a musician because of this. I failed miserably but I can still play guitar, write songs and enjoy this.
Since 1977 I wanted one of Pauls guitars, I now have one of the cracked mirror Ibanez.
That is one nice guitar, you are a lucky man. I once could have bought a Music Man Eddie Van Halen guitar, but it was so expensive that I would not have money left for an amp - so I bought a Gibson Nighthawk Standart with an H&K Attax and played Kiss and Van Halen on it until my fingers bled. (damn I really should have went for the Music Man EVH, it was such a beauty...)

My 14 yr old grandson says this song reminds him of me and his Papa lol He really likes Kiss. His great uncles would be so proud. They were in the Kiss Army back in the 70's.

Now it is 2019. I am 52 years old and I listened to this song when I was 12 in 1979. Loved this song and the band in that time. Sometimes now I'm listening to Kiss and I still like it. Dynasty was my second vinyl-album at this time - the first one was "Kiss Alive II" - still own them. Nice to hear that young folks are still listening to this kind of music.
