As amazing as that is ... i still don't know what I would do with a yacht... It honestly would get boring for me... U just float around, where r going to go... Slowly in that direction... it's like living in a fantasy small house that requires 5 other people to run ... I'm just not a boat person I guess
I’d bet that most yacht owners feel the same way. 1st year, they spend 3 weeks on the yacht. 2nd year, 2 weeks. By the 5th year, they spend a week every other year. It’s a bragging thing.
I used to work on one and thankfully I'm getting my heli license now but yeah pretty much, a lot of them get one and within a year and are trying to sell them already. Sometimes owners will actually live on them year round but most get fed up with how expense upkeep is. Buying the yacht isn't the expensive part the upkeep is, about 10-15% of the boats original value is what it costs to maintain it annually with maintenance and crew and operating costs. We were either in the Mediterranean, Bahamas or went north to Maine.
