"Tree watering vehicle" on the road marker made me laugh way more than it should have 🤣
oh hi rce
Didn't expect to see you in the comments. Would love to see how you do in this game.
Well if you don't have dedicated equipment for it how else is it supposed to get done?? Trees don't just get magically watered or something smh
hmmmm Multiplayer? yall gotta ask them for multiplayer and play together. would be so much fun!
I figured you'd be here
As a German I can say: yes, that is considered a Pothole, but there are also a lot of streets that are pretty much made from holes and patches and they have been like that for years, on my way to work there is one so deep you can get your wheel stuck and it has been getting deeper for 6 Years now.
If there is construction on the Autobahn it always feels like they put up the safety posts months before they actually start working and then it always takes months to finish.
My grandfather planted one time sunflower into a pothole in front of our house after 4 weaks no fixing.... After he planted the flower 2 days later they fixed the street 😂
As a Dutch guy, your road quality is still sub par.
Wow here in the Georgia, USA we got a pothole I see everyday... its caused at least a hand full of car crashes and vehicle damage.
Seen a cop car with it's front wheel ripped off from the pot hole... its still not fixed but you bet they still collect that road tax
Okay so really no different than the rest of the world 😂 my city started getting lawsuits from people who had their cars damaged by potholes because they litter nearly every street
As a German i can say: it doesn't just feel like they put the safety posts there months before they start.. the construction on the A10 Nördlicher Berliner Ring has been there for about a year now and the sings say it'll last at least another 2. Haven't seen anybody working there for the first 6 months tho 😀
as a typicall german viewer of your chanel i wanted to say you did a great job in the most efficient and best way possible... thank you for your service
"I cant tell if this game is joking or not" right, because we germans are so known for our humour :D
yea just as well known as your short closed roads beacaus of road maintaince
and here i thought they only know how to shut down 10km of road just because they need to fix a few potholes.
but to be honest the roads are good and maintained.
@@goldendon511 That is a good one well maintained. From 100% of all bridges in Germany 90% normally needs to be closed for traffic as they are in danger to crash due to the weight of traffic. In the last 20 years nearly nothing was maintained. The roads are in a horrible shape. If you find a small road with just one pothole and such a small one, this road clearly was maintained a few years ago. So beside the bridges over 60% of all roads are in a very bad shape.
When it comes to shutting down roads and it seems nobody is working there, you are right, there is no one working. Why? There is strange thing going on. When a company starts a job they get a half of the money, close to the end, they have no money left to finish the job. So they open up the next building site, as when it is opened (just the traffic rerouted and the safety precautions done) they got the first 50%. With that they finish the first job and after that really starting with the new job, ans so on....
@@realdragon so much for a German dream
@@Lazaross_k Damn. That one is Fire
@@minty2640 Nice my comment got removed. I guess YT doesn't like dark humour
You can choose different jobs by clicking the location markers when the job map or whatever it's called is open
Just waiting for the “Monday simulator” … a simulation that never changes the day, tasks consistently pop up too quickly compared to task completion times, constantly changing from cold and rainy to too hot with temperature & clothing maintenance, constant phone calls where some are actual tasks with high rewards for answering and some are scammers with negative affects but you never know what you’re getting before answering, etc etc
This would be the perfect rage game
I feel like I’ve been destined to create this game As the past 26 years have felt like one long Monday. Do you mind if I try and use this concept? It would be a feee game as I’m probably not good enough to sell one
"there is a simulator for everything"
@@jabatheshort660 for sure, go right ahead. I’m not gunna try and throw a copyright from a UA-cam comment ;P
One of the first tasks should be to drink the morning coffee on the ride to work but no matter how well you perform at a minigame you always spill some coffee, the better you do the more coffee you can save!
I really love that the germans are so good at making simulation games xD
As a German i can say everything you did in the game happens in real life as well xD
beside the small closed down road most time when i am in germany the lanes are closed for 5+ km because about 100m of roads need to be fixed:p
@@goldendon511 i mean when we do something we do it in a grand scale :)
@@goldendon511 Better than in Poland where 1km of road is broken down by construction.
For an over year
@@realdragon well here in the netherlands whe have a road half open half closed for over more than 2 or 3 years at this point (people say an endangered salamander orso lives there) and the years are still counting
You know Drae, you can also click on the different waypoints to choose between different missions........
And in my State of Missouri, yes, that is a big pothole, and if its a public road, it will get fixed before it even gets that bad. At least if it's not a residential area, cause residential roads can go years before they get fixed.
As a German I have to agree, we do get very serious over oddly specific things from time to time...
as a german i am proud of our good simulators but now i also want you to play something like "autobahnpolizei" so you can experience the bad side of german simulators xD
Ereignisreich
realitätsnah
Germany is truly the kingdom of oddly specific and niche simulators. Who knows what non-translated gems are still hidden from us?
I am German, and i can say there are many sims 🤣
1:51 that's a road line marking machine
You see those white lines which divide lanes and yellow lines on the borders of a road
That machine prints it
I've seen that machine personally and its amazing
Edit: ua-cam.com/video/JUr6SsY5jb4/v-deo.html
Found a video of this IRL
I love how he wanted to use all the cool machines but skipped the striping mission.
I'm not going to lie, I thought that was going to be a rickroll 😂😂
@@bakedpotato. lol i never rickroll anyone
So excited for potholes lol 😂
That would be more appropriate for "Pennsylvania simulator"
That wasn't even a pothole 😂
It was more like cracks on the road
@@bowxfire5275 As a german (more precisely a german cop) I can say that this game is pretty accurate. The bend rails and the small cracks - stuff like these have to be repaired. BUT one thing is odd: the authorities would never pay so much money for repairs. I know some roads with bigger potholes than a bathtub and they stay like this for years. The only thing they do is to but a sign down for lowering the max speed.
But yeah ... germans are extremly meticulous :D
I live in MS and they just closed a section of the interstate near where I live bc the ground was sinking underneath it and they had it fixed in 2 days. They've also been adding another lane to another highway near me for the past 10 years and they've barely moved. Then there's the residential streets that have potholes so big u could swim in it after a good rain and those get the shitty bandaids paved over them just whenever my city feels like it.
@@patrickfischer8997 Mississippi, United States
I love how Drae reacts to things, which in Germany are like "normal" and nobody has to ask, haha. They take stuff like that as granted. To be fair, a lot of the guardrails are bent in Germany, but mostly because they have not been replaced yet. As a german myself, I do believe, according to all the prejudice, I would be called names (yes, of course), but on the same page I would be bored working in road maintenance in Canada, according to Drae. And I do think there are other things in Germany, which are way more infuriating.
EDIT: YES! That pothole is considered a "real" pothole and needs fixing in Germany. Can't have those bumby roads.
there are streets way worse than that even in germany tho i know a few
yeah just looking up my street they fixed a bunch of holes last year or so but most of them were already wheel deep and most of the times around my neighborhood it sadly creates more holes because of bad fixing were its just a bump afterwards were the hole was.
Potholes in Canada and the US are like huge ass holes that form from cracking or sink holes. My state in the US has a big sink hole issue where cars have gone into them from road collapse. We weirdly consider shit roads normal. That's not a pothole for us that's a normal road texture especially in small towns.
Wir haben bei uns eine Staatsstraße, die wird seit 7 Jahren auf 60km/h beschränkt, weil sie so kaputt ist. Auf reparieren ist aber noch keiner gekommen.
Wow,l mean just wow,,here in New Zealand it's like our road maintenance is over kill, forever road maintenance happening somewhere. Our rural sealed roads are maintained to a high standard more then our state highways because most of our main exports come form the farming sector so,you know, gotta get that product to the ports as soon as possible and because of trade unionists stopping the laying of rail track in the bulk of the central North Island in the 1930s which means trucking has a huge impact on these roads.Road maintenance becomes a never ending process
You say german and simulator. My mind went to recollections of some of the most micro-management memories from days of old games.
“In typical german fashion, i can do whatever i want.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just how we do it in Germany.
Best Drae line of 2022, so far!!!!
Unless there is a law that says otherwise you actually can pretty much do what you want. Want to build a rail or coil gun? You can do that, as long as you don't accelerate a projectile through a tube, it's not a firearm.
You are allowed to escape prison (actually by law, since a Germans strife for freedom can't be punished).
That's why there basically is a German law for everything.
no in Gemany if there is a single crack in the road they will tare up a whole strip of the road overnight and it will be fixed the next morning LOL. Lived there for two years.
4:05 In Germany we like to fool apprentices or greenhorns (especially in the crafts) by sending them to do meaningless tasks like:
- go an get a bucket of compressed air
- get some indicator fluid from the warehouse
stuff like that.
tbh I don't know if there is similar things going on in other countrys, if so share your story below. I would like to know.
Love the vid, and i love how you didn't try th to click the green marker's on the map whilst choosing a mission to choose from 1 of the 4 missions. And yes you can just close the mission menu again and they'll renew
* Greetings from Germany ❤️
As a transportation construction inspector, I absolutely felt this video.
I'm just impressed that they have guard rails on a straight road with a big, open field next to it.
Drae: You know wheelbarrows can hold more than three items right?
Germans: Ve vouldn't vant anybody to get hurt now vould ve? Du could strain your back ja...
I love that the brand of the machines showned in the game are called "DOG" instead of "CAT" wich is the oposit of DOG ( u can see it down at the steering wheel at 0:47)
This is a great game for Drae to play, since he loves his attention to details!!
FYI you can pick the missions by pressing the markings on the map in the mission menu
Yes, it's like that in Germany and as soon as snow is announced, snow plows drive around even if there is no snow at all.
Love doing manual work in games. Real life is to difficult
Lazy kid:)
As a German i have to say it was amazing to watch it because of many different reasons but the best part is drae of cause, he is just super sympathetic, funny and wholesome... I just love him and his viedeos.
But its amazing to see how different people think about germany and for your question, yes in many parts of Germany they really are fixing the smallest holes and tiniest dents in the guardrails xD
Yes, the holes and bends in a guard rail will be fixed. The giant pothole that caused someone to end up in the guard rail however...
Try construction simulator 2016 you get to do many parts of jobs from excavation, pouring concrete, laying pipe, and more!
i was literally just looking at this and was like “i hope drae plays this” and now here we are
As a german i love this combination :D
"I don't know why I'm having so much fun and so frustrated as well"
Literally Drae in every simulator
I actually like when you play these kind of games👍
"everything in Germany has its designated spot"
My workplace has signs for literally everything. They glue signs on the ground for a trashcan.
This game looks really good 😯 I think I will buy this
I would love it if it gets a serie❤ btw i love all of you're video's
You could click on different points on the mission maps and those are different jobs.
i love the fact dev cannot use real life name company like CAT so they put they own as DOG
i really love it
Drae: I'm sure the germain have some sort of systeme to know where the trash is .
Me: Watching the minimap they gave to him .
"It's a wheelbarrow it can hold a little bit more" Infamous last words
I enjoy Drae's videos so much but laugh so much when he get frustrated and starts shouting 😂😂
3:24 Oh god, you're so right! The road maintenance (and related stuff) is often so awful there 🤣 I wish we took more pride in cleaning and maintaining infrastructure.
Why is playing simulators more engaging than doing the actual thing being simulated.
Looks like it's gonna be interesting in the long run
I work highway maintenance in the US and the detail in this is pretty good
As a german I have to say: this episode was epic 🤣
I was reading an article on this game the other day, and was hoping Drea would play it haha
The first machine you looked at is a road marking machine, basically it paint the line on the road.
This is amazing! Do more of this its so fun to watch you play this.
when drae realises there is a "no"option when being assigned missions
13:47
At my job we call those "Jumping Jacks". Dunno why xD
13:55 I wish those were the "pot holes" here in SC.
14:40 I'm confused... If it's already cracked up that much, why not just square cut it out with a saw? Like you won't be breaking into the flowable fill. Also if it was that easy to fix a pot hole, I'd love it... "Cut a 1'x1' hole and it'll fix everything else around it :D"
It's a simulator. How do you think this stuff in your city gets done? Magic? I'd say this is pretty accurate. Well done.
been watching your videos every day for the past 4 months, thanks for the videos dawg
Yes more this game is perfect. Love this type of stuff! You made it very funny too
I like that you keep referring to the entire country
Dang drea I didn't know you were a heavy equipment operator that's kind of awesome
I wasn't, I was a labourer lol
@@drae ahh ok ain't nothing wrong with that.
Wooooo germany 🇩🇪
Greetings from the eastern side 🤌
Drae you can change missions if you click the map locations
Love it drae. your personality makes these super specific sims so much fun. Please keep going with this.
I love how they handled the licence of the vehicles. Instead of CAT these are DOG. XD
This simulator is highly inaccurate, it forgot the most important thing about road maintainers: The accuracy of lunch breaks. Srsly, at 11:45 all work gets suspended, since you have to take your lunch break at 12:00. Also they never work alone. You need at least 2 guys. Depending on the task it could be up to 5 people.
When they fixed a bridge railing at my street, they had 2 civil engineers and 3 workers. The two engineers had to attest that the railing needed fixing, lunch break, then they had to supervise three guy taking down the old railing. Then they had to secure the place with tape and pylons. Took them a week to replace a tiny 2 meter railing.
As a german, I can say that making games about doing jobs is one of the most german things I can imagine.
I love how short the game is when you cut out the loading and unloading
I'm pretty sure Drae has played every simulation game on the market
I feel like "Caltrans PCH maintenance" would make for a good "oddly specific simulator" along these lines. Giant mudslides, replacing bridges, shoring up sagging areas, helicoptering in rockslide netting....
I have a love hate relationship with your videos now. I have watched so many now that I now fall asleep like I’m watching a w2s documentary. Still love them tho keep them coming
This sounds like a fun game, but I really hope it somehow fix's the roads around my house
Epic pothole gameplay!
Drae the reason some of tasks weren’t getting done is because the game shows the tasks in order so you can see the tasks you’re gone do soon
As a German I'm really confused by the vehicles too :D Love your videos!
If this video isn't sixteen minutes of standing around doing nothing, it's a fake experience.
12:40 "I can just say no" Yes Drae, dont let anyone tell you that you cant just say no.
As a german..i feel suddenly appreciated ...And i Didn't even make that game!!
That first machine in that garage is a paint machine for the lines on the roads
Drae please notice next time that everytime you go to the map each green point on the map is a different job and you can choose the ones you want to do instead of just having to say yes or no to the one that pops up on the right with the description...
German OCD Veichile sim versus Drae's ADD; who will win? The Delineators!
Drae is the sim player who forgets to turn off his Turn signal!
I shouldn't be laughing this much at roadside maintenance!🤣
Drae: Skips Over The Chance To Mark Lanes And Takes Fixing Asphalt
Me: WHY
😮
I haven’t watched the video yet but as a road construction worker the title couldn’t be anymore wrong
Tip: you can click the markers on the map to select different jobs, 😉
The cracks in the road had me rolling. I have never seen a road in real life that doesn’t have cracks in it unless it’s like newly paved or something. They must not have much to do in Germany lol
Arizona needs to see this
Oh I was missing good ol German simulator!
i love your content keep up the good work
actually that you in a nutshell Drae getting max frustrated but at the same time max fun but that why we love watching you =P
Trust me, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to German seriousness.
Omg this was so good
Saw the game on steam a few days ago and thought. " Wonder how long it will take, before Drae finds it?" And then just a few days later he provides.
I love how Drae has done about every job lol
Playing this game no one will complain to the workers of this job
Maybe Canada needs to take a example from Germany cause it looks so clean
13:42 Handheld? How can it get even more handheld than this? o.0 Even my father rented one like this when he worked on our house.
Also, as a German myself, this was incredibly funny. Additionally, I am scared of Canada now if these weren't "real" dent guardrails or potholes.
They're real dents. But if they can still stop a car it's good to go! Lol.
The ones we use are literally a metal pole with a flat metal plate wielded to the bottom and you use your muscles to stamp it. Mind you I was in driveway paving and not street paving so things were more basic.
@@drae Thats very unexpected!
I feel like you Drae have worked and done anything. Almost in any sim you have said that u worked there or you owned it 🤣. Really a Allrounder 😃
Looks fun to play.
I love how that man just picked up a earth compactor with no issue it takes two at my work
And the suck to use the sink then tilt and hurts your wrists and back
i really would love to see how much german viewers (me included) u have :D
Having fun AND being Frustrated... *IS* the German experience.
Source: I am German citizen.
i had a blast too!! good vid
the compactor you got is called a wackypacker here. we use to pack the dirt around manholes ater we set them. around valve boxes for water mains too also.
Oh lord a sim game about fixing roads xmx well then
As a Canadian as well, I totally agree about the guardrail that dented up. Guardrail is perfectly fine
