- Former lightweight king Jorge "El Niño de Oro" Linares (45-4, 28 KOs) will continue his comeback trail when he challenges Pablo Cesar "El Demoledor" Cano (31-7-1, 21 KOs) for his WBC International Silver Super Lightweight Title in a 12-round battle on the undercard of the fight between Demetrius "Boo Boo" Andrade (26-0, 16 KOs) and Artur Akavov (19-2, 8 KOs). The event will take place on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden and will be streamed live on DAZN.

I told my brother he ws going to chin check Loma , My brother didn’t believe me, yes Linares took an L but he still connected and still going to fight loma Again and will Take that W. He is technically Nice, Fast 💨 , Strong puncher 💪🏽 , Nice Foot work I mean how can you Not be a fan. ! Its fucked up that Golden Boy doesnt give him more promotion because this Guy In my Opinion is a Star. I dont give a Shit about a PERFECT RECORD either. I'll party crash right here as Jorge Linares was the clear favorite. But this is just outright biased commentating. I really think Gesta did more damage. You cannot expect Mercito to floor Jorge as he is the smaller fighter but why didn't Jorge floor Gesta? he could have. Answer: they aren't giving Gesta enough credit for his parrying ability.
Thats why vasyl is unique linares is a skillful fighter and vasyl defeated him.
