I currently use 2 passives, one amp, and a powered sub. I plan on getting some EVs but I booked a gig at an event hall with a 500 person capacity. I was worried about my Rockvilles struggling, but actually with the sub my sound was super clean. I was kind of in shock and relief. Made me realize I could afford to wait to upgrade my speakers. You do get more life out of some passives if you use them right (some people dont know how to match their amps etc). I carry my amp in a small rack case that also houses one of my power strips as well as my wireless mic receiver. The case weighs about 60 pounds so it is a pain to lug around. But it does get the job done. I use a facade with uplights behind it. Then I have a couple cheap disco lights but I do need a light bar and my set up will be pretty solid. But so far my clients dont seem to mind the lack of lights because my booth is lit up and changes colors so they love the way that looks. One thing I do to add ambience is hook up a 55 inch monitor behind my booth, if I am doing a pool party or adult birthday, I can play music videos behind me or link my videos to all of the tvs in the room, or I can put visualizer fx on the screen or for weddings I have a psychedelic heart effect with the couple's names that is always a hit. All in all my setup looks a lot like yours except I hide a big amp rack case behind my facade lol. Im also kinda playing with fire because I dont have a reliable back up set of speakers. So I need to get on that. When I first started doing gigs in 2019, I was easily making enough money to build up my arsenal, but ended up dipping in my savings when apocalypse 2020 happened. 2021 wasnt too much better for business but 2022 is starting to look up and Im getting more calls to do gigs so hopefully I get back on track this year. I am super excited, my first gig with my new Rane One is on St Pattys day. So far ive only tested it out on my home practice set up and not on my pro setup yet, so I cant wait to hear it. If my ddj sr2 sounded that good in that event hall...the Rane One is gonna be a beast!

I currently use RCF EVOX 12 with an RCF 18" sub. I use Denon 4000 controller to a DBX Driverack PA2, Shure wireless mic, Electrovoice RE20 broadcase mic on my Bunn Gear console. For monitors and backup sound system, I use HK Audio Nano 300. Lights are chauvet LED strips and a set of 4 moving head lights controlled by Showxpress. Macbook Pro with serato and a backup laptop and backup iPad also used for cocktail hours and ceremony music.

    Considering add ons:

    OR
    2- 15 or 18inch Beheringer subwoofers
Any suggestions? My style of music is R&B, Southern Soul, Ole Skool Hip Hop. My choice age groups are 35 years old & up.

I’m sure you’ve bought speakers/subs by now but I would recommend buying subwoofers to accompany the 15”s.
My current is set up now is usually 2 EV 12” tops with one 15” subwoofer. Usually gets the job done unless it’s a pretty big space.
