- He does a cool smooth version of his song here. Arranged by Quincy Jones, there's Louis Jordan (alto saxophone, and vocal); Irving Ashby, Mickey Baker (guitar); Budd Johnson (tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone); Sam "The Man" Taylor (tenor saxophone); Ernie Royal (trumpet); Ernie Hayes (piano); and Charlie Persip (drums)
One of the best versions of this great song.
Nice movie for a so nice song ! Thanks
Thanks!
More than words....!

@itisitsits - Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
superbe montage
Interesting.. or not in 1956.. a black artist with all white people in the video.. didn’t even see a clip of Louis singing.. the Jackson Five and Michael’s success.. his videos on MTV were really a break through.. thx Michael, Diana.. and James Brown and Sammy Davis for inspiring him... and Barry Gordy for believing in hem.. xo
Thankfully, my video has nothing to do with race, typicality or bland matched video with the exact artists represented visually. This mixes incongruent time periods, and the people in this video are part cold war eastern europeans and part italians. Nothing to do with the song, except matched rhythms. Visual candy. I imagine you won't subscribe to this channel or my other one:

What movie is this footage from?
There are a couple of sources. One is Kuriton Sukupolvi from 1957, and another is Urlatori alla Sbarra from 1960.
Tom and Jerry?
Solid serenade.

During that time period we were good enough to create/sing the songs but not good enough to be seen on album cover or video. It’s crazy but still a nice video though.
Louis Jordan was one of the most visible artists out there - and I'm the only one to credit all the musicians that always get forgotten for 50's r&b. This video is not about race, just like all my others. This mixes incongruent time periods, and the people in this video are part cold war eastern europeans and part italians. Nothing to do with the song, except matched rhythms. Visual candy. I imagine you won't subscribe to this channel or my other one:

@@mutleybird but why not show at least one black person …
@@jbh301 Because that wasn't in the footage I chose. Its just not important. Most of the footage I choose is european mid century as a contrast to doo wop, r&b and lounge music, (this video is actually eastern european, cold war era). As much as I support the racism aspects of BLM, those politics are not part of my videos . It simply means you won't subscribe to my channels. That's it. Plus, there are black people in some of my videos purely by chance, or when footage that fits my style happens to have the artist in it, if they're black, such as this one off the top of my head:

I came from Tom and Jerry
Me too
Racism At It's Finest. Not A Trace of Louis Jordan and His Band.🤔👎
Not racism. Just a documentary on whites trying to play and dance to jazz/blues 😅. Saying this as a white boy meself, we have no rythem😏
@Robbin Hood My video has nothing to do with race, or typical average audio and video of the same artists. This mixes incongruent time periods, and the people in this video are part cold war eastern europeans and part italians. Nothing to do with the song, except matched rhythms. Visual candy.
