I'd been plagued with chronic procrastination for many years, and before finding your videos I developed a little system of my own that really helped me. Some introspection made me realize that much of my procrastination came from wanting things to be done perfectly, and at the perfect time. However, the more I live the more I realise that perfection is somewhat of an illusion. So here's my system, whenever I have something to do and I find myself putting it off. I first remind myself that nothing is perfect, and nothing lasts forever. I then ask myself two two-part questions. The first is "if I don't do it, then who will?...and why? The second question is "if I don't do this now, then when am I going to do it?...and why? If the answer to one or both of these questions honestly don't make sense...then I just get to doing whatever it is that has to be done.
Great tips! The best one I found so far, is to simply do it as soon as you realize you procrastinate. If this becomes a reflex and you are very, very quick this will work the majority of the time!
I've found that what seems to work best for me to fight procrastination and lazyness is actually very simple: scheduling! If I make a schedule of what it is that I want/need to do for a day, it is much easier to do that, and it is even easier the more you detail the scope of the work you are trying to accomplish. This was excellent, Ana. Definitely worth repeating and committing to memory. It was almost like a Sunday sermon (because it's not Thursday :-)). I took the grit test and scored 4.09. Your first two tips really struck home, because last year much of my house was remodeled and now I absolutely adore this house. Things now have a place and it makes it so much easier to keep organized. Finally, it's worth rewatching this video for the final shot, where just seeing you in the provocative pose is an inspiration.
Love your personality while explaining what/why we do something - very bubbly, but still makes the point stand out. I strongly agree on necessity of lazy days and owning your decisions about it bc it does make you push your self and motivate yoourself to stick with this decision, and prepares you for tommorow's sticking to decisions including more productive tasks. One trick I use to boost my motivation when there is not a bit of it to be found, ist to make a list of what should be done, pick just one task and do that and then reward myself with TV/internet time - I go watching some productivity videos of several chanels here (your included) or TED Talks - guilt tripping boosts motivation through comparision or competition 😉. On a "normal" day of procrastination, I set time for cleaning shorter than I need so I need to rush it - exercise done, hormone levels up, tidy space - coffee/tea as reward but I start to work as I relax so I end up doing some work. Of course, once your brain picks up what you're doing, and focus is getting blury / procrastination ideas start to emarge, you need to chat with yourself, count what you done so far, and evaluate how hard was it so realistically the conscious mind will accept more realistically better decision if you put it in the form suitable for competition drive.

My Grit score was 3.20! I think this quiz lacks some questions though, like "Do you finish one major project before tackling a new one?" because I take on too many things and end up being overwhelmed and physically cannot get everything done and end up having to give at least one thing after a mental meltdown (or two) + my grades suffer and after all of that I'm burnt out of course. Do have some advice for dealing with this problem?

Probably a dumb question, but uh, I completely messed up last year because I kept falling asleep in class- got bored easily, fell asleep for hours after school, even if I had an adequeate amount of sleep the night before. Thinking about having to sit down and either memorize/ understand stuff made me unmotivated and sleepy too, the only subject I was able to not sleep for nor was bored with was calculus because it was about solving problems etc and was akin to solving puzzles, so I enjoyed it. Sitting in class just listening to explanations for my other subjects added on to my sleepiness, and I really didnt do well. Do you have any tips on how to push through this boredom/sleepiness?

Probably a dumb question, but uh, I completely messed up last year because I kept falling asleep in class- got bored easily, fell asleep for hours after school, even if I had an adequeate amount of sleep the night before. Thinking about having to sit down and either memorize/ understand stuff made me unmotivated and sleepy too, the only subject I was able to not sleep for nor was bored with was calculus because it was about solving problems etc and was akin to solving puzzles, so I enjoyed it. Sitting in class just listening to explanations for my other subjects added on to my sleepiness, and I really didnt do well. Do you have any tips on how to push through this boredom/sleepiness?
Slytherin Proud you could literally just read the text book plus record the classes audio and sleep in class then listen to the audio at 2x speed.

Shradha Nesari so you have ten months time: 5000 divided by 10 divided by 30 = 17 Pages a day. So if you set yourself the goal to read at least 17 Pages a day you will be done at the end of may ☺️
