On a side note, inverting the sub looked better than not. I love the way subs look inverted, and I stand corrected about the excursion. Also makes changing the wiring easier when/if you need to, and drops the Hz a point or two. Nice vid!
Your right I have 2 four ohm bd2s on the 1500.1 in a custom 5.5 cub box tuned to 28hz and it is absolutely insane. This box and sub setup has been in SUVs and Sedans and it slaps in any setting.

I have broken plenty hearts drowning other systems out and had many people bail out on the bass!! New setup is 2 DB Drive WDX G5 15s with an A7 2500.1 in the same kerf ported box the the bd2s were in.... Let the games begin😎
Audiopipe used to have an 18in subwoofer for around $300 that sounded insane for a a budget sub. I think that the Audiopipe TXX-BDC4-12 would be worth checking into. Gotta have crazy flex for the price. Another brand of budget subs to check out next are Earthquake subs. The surround and flex are similar to Audiopipe. With their budget line.
In 2010 on a single 1000 watt class D Audiopipe mini"also in a 1983 Oldsmobile delta 88" with 2 🔊s and I had old heavey doors and windows pushing out like crazy ...... # it's all in the 📦, wiring, and Amps..... Keep ☝ the good work and bring some new speakers to the table or some older ones people still dought....

I ran 6 bd2 15s in my blazer in a 6th order bandpass. It was powered by a pair of dd m4as. The 15s have a 3 inch coil and can handle a good amount of power.
Just bought 4 of the BDC2 12 inch. Hooking up to my APCLE30001.D. And my APCLE2004 runs my Audiopipe 6x9 Redline 500w speakers. Really loving Audiopipe.
I had to wait until now to finish watching this and at 13:53 when you are describing the heat coming from the subwoofer and mention the port it reminded me proper tuning and how you tuned this box of yours. Some people might not understand that that makes a big difference also on the heat. Proper cubic feet for each subwoofer is critical for the longevity of your subs. Thought I'd throw that out there. Learning how to listen to your music properly goes a long way to preserving equipment as well. Clipping is the enemy, youtube music is bad, and lossless is the way to go
@@wadehensley5005 Absolutely. But the problem there is A: There is more people without clip detection then there are that have it. B: the same can go for the Distortion Factor how many people do you know that can hear distortion? Now how many people use a meter? And has any of the people that do use distortion detection can hear it before the meter goes off? I'm guessing no because from what I understand and witnessed it is impossible for the human ear to actually hear distortion. That's a good point you brought up.

@@MadDragon75 nah, you can definitely hear subwoofers when they distort in a sealed enclosure, it can be a little more difficult in a ported one. I always demonstrate the difference to my customers, that way they know what to listen for when they adjust their settings on their headunit. As far as clip detection goes, i see most amplifiers coming with it in the next few years as the circuitry becomes more affordable.
@@wadehensley5005 that is true more amplifiers are coming out with clip detection. And I think it's awesome that you show your customers the difference between distortion and just regular bass. I don't know about you, but I know a lot of people must have had somebody climb into their car and turn up the volume without asking and they take it beyond the distortion level... and you know it's distorted so you might slowly turn it down... and they turn it back up as they look you in the eye. Or does that happen to just me?😄

Been pushing about 3k before box rise to my friends hds3 12 for weeks now and they only run 150$. Did a 140db in a 2.3 cubic ft box tuned to 32hz on 2 audiopipe 2ks strapped.
I went with two TS-CAR15s wired to 2 ohms because I only could do about 80 amps from my alternator. Not the loudest thing ever but it serves that missing low end you can't get out of stock.

Hell yeah bro, should see the bd4's! I just got two of them to play round with couple a weeks ago and the damn things blew my mind for the price!!! You could buy 3 for price of one sundown x12v2 and I have a sneaky suspicion that the 3 bd4's would be alot louder than one x12 lol
Also the bd4's have flar wound swen in tinsels, they eliminated that problem you had fitting the wire into the terminals by adding an extra set onto one side.... I legit couldn't believe the build quality and all that ya get for the$140ea I paid for mine!
I have not a negative word to say about the audio pipes. The txx12 was one I always to try. I can't remember what the triple stacked one is but that thing is beast.
i use two 10 awg sky high with no issues ?? tho tbh u should do 1 strand per hookup mono block will run it parallel for you i have switched my setup to 4x 10 awg

I'm not decided on a amp yet, but probably 600-800rms to not push the electrical much... What do you think in that power range, for a $100 ish sub, Skar, Audiopipe, American bass?

Little advice from an elder in the audio game. Budget wise the wolfram 2400.1 is miles above the skar 2k. I've owned both as well as both cab amps. The wolfram is the only way to go. Are you running a prefab box? Anyway I like the content. Budget stuff is hot right now.
You know the cure for the terminal issue is to run one run of wire from each side of the speaker to the terminal on the box and just use bolts instead of the flimsy plastic connector.
I have a "Massive" branded sub in my car I just put in with a custom box I made. 500 wats RMS 1000 peak. Bout it for 99 bucks I believe from amazon. Slams hard, got it running at 2 ohms down from dvc 4ohms. It slams.
These comments is from a year ago the bad ass bdc4 12s is out...... but I got 2 of the bd2 had them on a 2k hifonics amp I only turned the amp to about 35% I just couldn't take no mo on 50% my head would've been hurting after 5 minutes errtime.... no I got 3 bdc4 12 2 ohm I didn't get to hear them do they thing my amp was messed up or something kept going into protection mode when I tried to turn the gain up it was a 4k hifonics but with the amp on 10 or 15% they was still knocking.......... I have a qbomb 4 12 turbo triangle box with the 2 bd2 in it now and imma put the 2 bdc4 12s in it too so imma have 2 12 bd2 and 2 12 bdc4 so I need one 2k amp and one 3500 or 4k 1ohm load amp any suggestions????? How does everyone think this AP BD2 mounts up against the kicker CVR 12? It’s also $100 online (was a year ago I know) I’ve ran 2,3,4, and 6 cvr 12’s in different setups, all of em pushing rms to subs and they were incredible for $100, just not familiar with a lot of brands out there today and Audiopipe gets a lot of mixed reviews. I run the Skar rp2k and 2!EVL 12’s and they kill it for $200 per sub and $230 for amp. Hitting right at 147 dB right now in a ‘02 Jeep GC tuned to 35 ( yes, I need a new enclosure plan) wanna go 4th order

I have the composite cone version of this sub. It sounds so insanely good.

yeah the dust caps are filmsy, i had the 15's plus the coils separated from the speaker. and they didn't replace it when i sent it back in.
From the Rockville to this sub did you notice any different sounding bass like quality or not really? I hope you try out the bd4 next.
Honestly not really, the Destroyer can get a lot louder but it was also over twice the price

You should get a Amm1 or a termlab with power probe kit. You’d be pretty surprised what the subs are actually getting for wattage and impedance rise.

These comments is from a year ago the bad ass bdc4 12s is out...... but I got 2 of the bd2 had them on a 2k hifonics amp I only turned the amp to about 35% I just couldn't take no mo on 50% my head would've been hurting after 5 minutes errtime.... no I got 3 bdc4 12 2 ohm I didn't get to hear them do they thing my amp was messed up or something kept going into protection mode when I tried to turn the gain up it was a 4k hifonics but with the amp on 10 or 15% they was still knocking.......... I have a qbomb 4 12 turbo triangle box with the 2 bd2 in it now and imma put the 2 bdc4 12s in it too so imma have 2 12 bd2 and 2 12 bdc4 so I need one 2k amp and one 3500 or 4k 1ohm load amp any suggestions????? On the amps
How does everyone think this AP BD2 mounts up against the kicker CVR 12? It’s also $100 online (was a year ago I know) I’ve ran 2,3,4, and 6 cvr 12’s in different setups, all of em pushing rms to subs and they were incredible for $100, just not familiar with a lot of brands out there today and Audiopipe gets a lot of mixed reviews. I run the Skar rp2k and 2!EVL 12’s and they kill it for $200 per sub and $230 for amp. Hitting right at 147 dB right now in a ‘02 Jeep GC tuned to 35 ( yes, I need a new enclosure plan) wanna go 4th order
just a suggestion get a cheap bathroom scale so you can weigh the subs on camera.
