i'm using Polly Bergen's nurse's technique. Only got the first game though. Sometimes I wonder if the panelists are briefed, they know such arcane stuff about shooting arrows, the use of guns, physics. Ameche's questions about artists I knew.
The lady who appeared in all three segments won more money than any other female contestant up to that time. I knew there was something odd about contestant #1 in the second game. At first I thought it was a man in drag, until she removed her blonde wig.
You know what I never understood? I've noticed this on MANY episodes. If the other 2 contestants were allowed to lie, why do they keep saying "I don't know?" Why wouldn't they just make up an answer?
There's always a calculated risk involved. Sometimes the panel fabricates a question, therefore if you answer it with anything but an "I don't know", it tells them you're a fake. If the question is legitimate, however, you need to calculate whether it's something that the real person *should* know the answer to. For fringe/obscure questions, "I don't know" is a good answer.
I always wonder why the panelists say I voted for Number Two because they knew the answer but in fact that is the only contestant they asked the question. It's possible No. 1 and No.3 would have given the same answer if asked.

Terrible contestants but really interesting episode concept. Willie Stein, or as Tom Poston would say, Willard Stone must have been having convulsions at the poor quality. Then again, it must also have been difficult to assume multiple fake identities.
Goodson and Todman getting slack and recycling contestants. Helen Mann was a contestant on What's My Line? seven months earlier, February 15, 1959. ua-cam.com/video/AmY3oPyghCQ/v-deo.htmlm37s
Good show, Faith Dane!
Very fun and clever episode!

agree, .... some panelists make up stuff to try and trip up the contestants and eliminate imposters in that manner.
It seems almost impossible that some of them weren't briefed in advance on occasion due to some of the detailed questions that would be asked.
Don Ameche always asked questions of the contestants as if he were a prosecuting attorney. 😖

Can’t believe they had a carton of cigarettes for a SCUBA diver - or anyone for that matter. Different times...
Did anyone else notice that contestant #1 in the second game came in as a blonde and left as a brunette????!!!!!
Yes, you can see her carrying her blonde wig out with her when she leaves. 😊
The camera person screwed up and missed showing her remove the wig.
Game #2 - none of them were convincing. Welcome to the episode with next-game-itis :)
Loved this episode!!

They reused a lot of contestants.
I must admit I find Polly Bergen irritating, probably to get more air time. She is obviously more astute than she makes out.
oldfart4751 Polly was a beautiful lady! Leave her alone.
Of course, she's cunning. Wants attention. Obviously lying when she said she didn't get to ask anything . 🙄
