- Uniswap is a Decentralised Exchange (or DEX) allowing users to trade Ethereum-based tokens directly through a web 3 wallet like Metamask.
With Uniswap, no deposits or withdrawals are required, as they use liquidity pools instead of order books. Meaning anyone can quickly swap between ETH and any ERC20 token or earn fees by supplying liquidity.
In this updated Uniswap review and tutorial, I take you through how to swap, provide and remove liquidity from the protocol. Plus, is it worth providing liquidity to the UniSwap pools to earn rewards?

There is ABSOLUTELY nothing that I understood in this tutorial.
I don't have the courage to utilize anything in defi right now with gas continually going up... making simple transactions too expensive. I got quoted $190 just to do a $20 swap earlier, so thank you for paying those ridiculous gas fees just to give us a really informative tutorial. We really appreciate it!🙏
I think that’s wise! Hold off until they reduce in price, unless you really need to perform something on the ethereum network it’s just not worthwhile.

Just a quick question. if there is fake websites out there for uni swap... why wouldn't you put the correct site on your description so your viewer's knew that they were using a trusted site you were talking about and had already used yourself??

I assume they are:
Price (Dec 20), Quantity, Value
For Feb 21, is the point that for Liquidity Pools, the price doesn't change for the Provider, just the quantities? And if so, is this just for Uniswap, or also for other AMMs?

Yes the fees are ridiculous right now. To be fair it’s not uniswap’s fault, the growth of defi has really driven the price up and hopefully it’ll be resolved soon.

I hope it helps! Defi is a whole new concept just be careful with gas fees right now as it can make trading more expensive that more traditional, centralised platforms.

The uniswap is failing to link to my metamask acgount. I tried several times but it didn't work

Is this right? If I want a erc20 token that’s not on an exchange firstly I buy eth. Then convert it to the token. (I understand that part). So when I want to sell and get the money I then convert it back to eth and send to an exchange where I can with draw the funds? Can someone tell me if this is right???

I'm new to it as well but I believe you have to manually add the swapped token in your wallet. Should show up under the symbol after. I think..
This is a great video and thank you for this. However, I personally prefer the simple and easy ways of buying from Binance and the CEX.
Can i just hold the swaped tokens without providing liquidity and sell it ,swap it back ones the price has risen.....nobody clears that

Hello, I just swapped some ETH to APY and the fee was $60 while my transaction only was $120, so in total i had to pay $180. Why was the fee so high? I also have no Idea where my APY landed, I dont have ever made an Etherscan Account and it seemed to land there? At the Moment it feels like I lost $180.😅

The "Insufficient Output Amount" error is driving me nuts any way to negate this?
not sure if you figured this one out but I had this issue today and just adjusted my slippage in the settings options on the "swap" page. This was a real low cap squirrelly coin that wouldn't settle down so adjusting the slippage to about 5% fixed the problem and for me didn't break the bank.

Yes that's all fine but the gas fee's are so high now it's not worth doing anything but buy and hold on your exchange lol it's robbery !!
Good plan, just try not to hold on an exchange as it’s a far more likely target for hackers. Hold it in a wallet!

Swap some ETH for UNI. Keep on asking for GAS fee, till all ETH in wallet was up. This is not for me. Will stay with centralize platforms.

If you want to sell crypto for Fiat currency. You’ll need an exchange that has Fiat markets and it’ll depend to what currency.
Popular exchanges include Coinbase, Gemini, and binance (but this will depend on what currency as some are suspended)

Who uses uniswap when the fees are so high? I mean the trade fees on coinbase and binanance are literally 100 times. What am I missing?
Some erc20 low caps tokens are only available on uniswap. But unless you are making a BIG purchase it's useles. DCA is out of the question

@@ikbo no. Not necessarily. There could be some very promising projects. Exchange listings don't happen overnight. And remember that this is were we are headed if we massively implement defi, but won't happen overnight either.

As a complete noob old lady and in the quest of buying some Shiba ( it kept on giving me errors when swapping) I ended up trying Uniswap. I ended up getting no Shiba and got taken out ridiculous network fee which I thought wouldnt be taken out unless the swap was successful. Sob

I’m so confused. Once I make a swap how do I get it to show in my wallet under the coin I swapped for? It shows it successful.
Sometimes you need to add the token to the wallet for it to show. If you are using Metamask you can add these by going to the likes of coinmarketcap or coin gecko, searching for thr token and next to contract address there’s an “add to Metamask option” with the Metamask fox symbol.
