A nice build. I built this kit a couple of years ago and was relatively pleased with the result. I think this less well known scout is quite graceful in appearance. I love the livery of your plane.
Thanks very much, Mark. Happy new year for you and your family. One question please: Have you had as much trouble as I had?😅 I rebuild the masts 3 times and I did 5 times the rigging...😮 There were always something going wrong.. Sometimes I thought I’d switch back to gardening🤨🙂
@@-kit-ou-double2774 I don't remember that this kit gave me too much trouble but I was surprised that the wing spars weren't a problem given the angle. I use EZ Line for all the rigging on my 1/48 scale planes and sometimes that line is very fiddly and frustrating. Hello fellow modellers. Here I am again. After a period without modelling, I chose this kit which seemed not too difficult for me. Enormous mistake😀This has been the longest and the most difficult I have ever build...😂 Wings and rigging put my patience to the test. I often wanted to give up. It’s impossible to show all the misadventures that happened to me. Anyway. That’s it. Very imperfect, but that’s the best I could do for a ' survivor '....😮 Your comments are welcome. For sarcasms, my friends from my club did it... 🤣Enjoy
I totally understand how frustrating rigging WW1 planes can be so that's why I only build 1/32 scale as it's large enough to make this process easier. Considering all your problems you did a great job on that Hanriot. The toothpick in the glue stick is a terrific idea....I'll definitely use it in future.....saves wasting that small amount of glue at the bottom of the jar so thanks for the tip 👍👏
Thanks Robert. A little bit in advance, happy new year for you and your family. A very good friend of mine who is also an authentic 'master', ( he wins all the competitions and writes articles in the specialized press) taught me a simple and effective method for rigging. It worked well on 2 string bags in the 32nd. This time I wanted to try another method of another 'master'. It could have worked if the masts had wanted to hold on. They stubbornly refused. 😅Hence the disaster.🙄 The temptation to give up came to me quite often. I don’t know how, but I got away with it. I won’t make those mistakes again. I’ll make others 😂Thanks again and see you soon
