Island Designing Ep.6 - Park & Houses

In this episode, I show you all the changes I made to my island in Animal Crossing New Horizons - mainly featuring new villager houses and a new park. I've love to hear your ideas for the empty spaces, they really help out a lot!

I haven't been keeping up with your Animal Crossing videos because I don't have a Switch and can't afford one right now even though I really want one. But I've been trying to keep up with your content, so I've just been putting on all your ACNH videos in the background while I work so you get my view. And it's nice to hear a familiar voice. I have my villagers more to one area on my island too. makes more like a neighborhood feel and the natural forested part of the island feels separate. also have some towels and picnic blankets on my beach area. some nice pond areas or rustic cobblestone plazas may fit in for the front and around the main plaza

For the beach by the park, you should just add a palm tree for some shade, and a sand castle, lifeguard chair and a chair or two.
Cause maybe after everyone is done eating at the park they want to go for a quick dip in the water and chill out. :)

I like putting some stuff on the beaches, like a sand castle and a beach ball. Not a lot, but here and there, like the animals *do* play on the beach but it's not too full. I made a farmers' market on my island, too, but since I have difficulty getting all fruit types, I made different stalls. One selling bamboo candles stuff, for a spa thing, and one that focuses on more tropical stuff (coconut juice, pumpkin) and a stall selling toys. The custom patterns that Sable gives you were helpful; she has one that is just sliced apples or colorful puzzle, which were perfect for the stalls.

Maybe a random patch of bamboo and some of the zen furniture/fences would look nice to around the house throwing you for a loop at 1:34? I feel like bamboo compliments those style of homes.

for the beaches, adding more palm trees and weeds/flowers in their early growing stages would be a nice way to make them feel natural but not too empty.

On the little beach spot you could put a sand castle and toy box and make it kind of a kids spot so the kids cn play while the parents are at the farmers market kinda thing

I really like these videos, the are so inspiring! I have to ask smth though! Do you experience "lag" or "glitches" when you use custom designs? Because I do. I started making my island like yours with those lovely paths, but i got these lines showing sometimes, like the borders on the squares, of the design. Is that something you have experienced too? Now I swapped over to the in game paths instead, partly due to that, but also because I want the sound of the path when I walk on it :D
