OK, so Patina is awesome. Oh yeah, great video too. Had dog lover's block for a moment. Thanks for showing the ups and downs of the troubleshooting process. It's not always an easy win! Nice drive, too. Watching these videos from vwnut 1967 and friends helps keep me motivated on my own project. Thanks!
There ya go Brian.. that's what I was talking about... today's cold start.. that engine didn't turn over all cylinders and she fired off... good job buddy...john
I use percussive maintenance instead of beating things. It seems more kind LOL. Patina is very upset about the horn. She is doing her best to protect you. Great video! Be careful in the new snow! P.S. I like Hazydaze. Great voice!
X C lent video bro, I had know idea the speedo ran off the front wheel on a VW beetle. See you can lean something even when ya old. All the best . About 88 here this afternoon and I am melting just watching Utoob
Brian...Strange horn? "Beep, -Bark, Bark, Bark, ...Beep, -Bark, Bark, Bark" I will be by each morning at 4AM to beep my horn in your driveway and then leave!
Thank Mustie 1 he's the one got me on to y'all worked on VWs back in the day you cats do some good work really like watching y'all thanks for the channel
Your missing the cable stay tube.. The cable goes into the tube and then into the spindle . it is the lock to keep your cable from breaking and to work as accurately as possible.
Thank you the horn fix! May I ask a follow up question? My 66 vw horn stopped. I checked all the wiring and ended up replacing the horn. Now...the horn works 5 times and then stops. Unplug and replug gets the same result. Do you recommend anything specific I should triple check? I'm baffled. Thank you!
Here in NB Canada we can only use the antique plate to go to special functions. Not really supposed to use them to cruise anytime you want to use the vehicle. Are things different there
I didnt know that the speedo cables ran from the front wheel on Bugs Makes sense seeing as the trans is in the rear. I imagine this applies to busses too ?
Hello, I took a turn while driving and my horn went off, and remained on, so I have to go under and disconnected it, ever had that issue? And why it will remain on?
I don't remember it ever happing to me but my best guess is the wire that is going thru the steering shaft must have a bare spot in it and it is grounding out causing the horn to sound. Thank you very much for being here monchy25
I had no trouble teaching her she Knows "touch" means just that she is treat motivated so if i have treats she will do all of the tricks with a little patience. I can not say it will work for kids though. Thank you for watching Tim

How did you remove the horn button on the steering wheel?
gently pry with a sturdy flat object
I didnt know that the speedo cables ran from the front wheel on Bugs Makes sense seeing as the trans is in the rear. I imagine this applies to busses too ?

vwnut 1967 that’s exactly what I was thinking is hard to replace?
I would tape a new piece of wire to the old one and pull it thru
vwnut 1967 thank you, for the advice, and quick reply, I always watching your videos 👍🏽👍🏽
At about 14:00, how did you teach Patina to “touch “ the door shut? I have two children.
I had no trouble teaching her she Knows "touch" means just that she is treat motivated so if i have treats she will do all of the tricks with a little patience. I can not say it will work for kids though. Thank you for watching Tim
