No worries Ben I’m glad it inspired you it’s probably one of the main reasons I started making videos because when I started there was very little info on Kayak Fishing. Looking forward to your future videos mate and tight lines 👌
Had exactly te same scenario happen to me last year tope fishing off the Holderness, did same pulled anchor and headed in, punching through the white horse's. 👍👍🎣
Have a look at Shimano TLD lever drag reels.... I've got the 10 and 15 size, and they are bombproof! One's even been for a 'major' swim. Recovered it, opened it, and there was not a drop of water inside. Also, on looking inside, there's not much in there to go wrong. Except for the bearing, but I consider them 'long term consumable parts'. Some people even swap them out for ceramic bearings. Basically, I doubt I'll go back to star drag reels after how well, and how quick you can operate these reels... 😎
Loved this vid mate. Honestly never realised the sea around the UK could look so nice. Quick question if you or anyone else wouldn't mind answering - Why so many rods? Like wouldn't it be a problem if you got multiple lines hit at the same time?
Yeah sometimes it can be amazing out there flat and calm. Having multiple rods can be an issue if you have takes on both lines but it doesn’t happen very often. The smaller rod is to target different species or catching Mackerel for live bait.
It actually wasn’t a bad landing my Go Pro stopped filming without me knowing. I’m saving up for another one it’s becoming unpredictable and I’m loosing good moments because it just stops recording when it feels like it randomly. I’m not scared of putting landing fails in my videos 😂
Just to say, cheers for the subscribe - your videos along with Cornish angler got me into kayak angling so much appreciated! tight lines - cheers, Ben

It is frustrating isn’t it. Least it wasn’t Winter I’ve had some hairy moments in the past when I first started kayak fishing.
Great posts keep them coming. Just installed the rod tubes to my Trident 4.3 , works well. Thanks for the set up idea.
Nice one boet, better safe than sorry - cant fight mother nature, she'll always win. Nice looking gurnard too.
Look forward to the next one. 🎣
I know it’s just frustrating when it’s meant to be 8 Mph and more like 20 Mph 😂 I didn’t blank so I was happy.

Great videos as always Yakler 👌 the clouds in the distance when you started out would have had me staying close to shore 😀

I bought a hiking bag or pair of boots from a military surplus store and got the bag with them.
Good video again mate! Any reason we didn't see you land the yak on shore! 🤔
