I'm proud to be a Trinidad Allstars Bassman who lives in Canada, I've been with Allstars since Soca warriors and have won many panoramas including, Skinner's park stadium which was out of this world, we won. Plus two time Champions in both Nationals,. and for the first time... The ICP International steelband panorama which we won, with the Trinidad Allstars classic Curry Tabamca. To this day, we are still world riening Champions. Allstars forever
Speaking as an Allstars Bassmann coming from Toronto to make this iconic team is a feat in itself. Trinidad Allstars performances are a product of dedication, devotion, discipline and very very intense rehearsals. Yes we make it look effortless, eight weeks of
rehearsals everynite and attendance mandatory not to mention too prayers every night the entire band bolds hands and thanks the lord for our Blessings. TRINIDAD ALLSTARS, THE PEOPLES BAND.

Fantastic !! Was introduced to steel drum bands in 1970, and have loved them since.
+dec des I heard steel drums since the 1950s, but only small groups, tourist kinda ting. First heard the steel orchestra in 1988 on a Discovery TV show called "Festivals". Was blown away... took me three years to find my first recordings (thank you Delos) and been a pan jumbie since! Just great music!

tv should mike the bands better to hear the different sections to appreciate the arrangements , and i find this recording sounds slower then the actual performance, which was great on the night it self
