Thank you for the video it helped me remove mine. It came off fairly easily even without having to use the oil filter removal tool. I did order one along with the replacement shift knob from Amazon. When the knob arrived, I was too excited to wait for the tool so I just twisted and pulled as hard as I could and lo and behold it popped right off. I was able to change out the shifter even before my oil tool arrived (which I'm still waiting for now). so much happier now that the shifter doesn't move when I shift gears. ☺
@@Whiteandsonsgarage yeah absolutely it's great not having to reach down so far nos it's the same height as the other shifter. instagram.com/p/B3NBKA2owU8/?igshid=dsb8xk2tudwt early version of it but you'll get the idea
Let me know in the comments what shift knobs you are running in your jeep.
All the other videos suggesting to twist and pull with your hands made it look so easy, so when I tried I couldn’t get it to budge. But this worked!
I tried the same thing, they must be pretty strong, I am glad i could help and make it easy for you. Thanks

Is there a trick to the four wheel drive knob? I've got the main shift knob off.I cannot get the forewill drive knob off
My one took a bit to get off, just keep working at it.
"pull my knob off". hehehehehe
Hahaha it did feel good.
I bought sickspeeds autoadapter and a round "carbonfiber" knob on. Put the same kind on the 4x4 stick with an extension from a vw van.
Nice, sounds really good, does it feel better with the extension?

@@ralphmortensen7640 yeah no problem, just put on the subtitles. Thanks for watching
Too long of a video for no reason.
Could be shorter, but it helped some people remove their gear knob.
Then why take the time to comment and stop being a jerk I found it quite useful
