Winning races at the highest level is better and even greater accomplishment than championship could ever hope to be. He made his money, won championships on both 250's and 450's, youngest MXGP MX2 champion, and then came back from an injury that took over a dozen surgeries and nearly had it amputated (he had to beg the Dr to just try fixing it rather than lose it.) And became a legend within the sport... we all know he was one of the most naturally talented riders who's ever thrown a leg over a bike. Titles don't tell the whole story of a rider, he's had a great career... but I knew he'd never win another title, unfortunately.

Cool deal,a lot of people outside the sport,non racers I mean,and those who race,may not realize everyone dreams of a factory ride with a big team,top brand and no one knows.bob Hannah was saying a team like Honda has a time frame for results,you get your one year or your two contract,and with that the pressure,I'm sure Ryan put enough of his own pressure and felt now he didn't want an elephant on his back unless he own it,his own pressure to say,you guys talk about consistency,it does sound like that fancy of a word,but in motocross there s so much unknown talent on the rise,riders growing physically peaking strength wise you never know who's gonna be at the front,get a start and start winning,or just win once and a while...also the big step up to the bigger bike is a change that sometimes is never settled in.

He hurt the sport, and thx ken and others for being real and trustworthy. I would hate to be RDick's kids or wife. Very sad, he should apologize for lying to the fans and kids of SX!
