Hard light really notices the lag, to the point the animations are about 1.5-4 seconds behind the damage numbers

im a fire tank on PC and got one shot because I was lag jumped back into the red and was called trash. Iv been playing this game since 2011. I KNOW I DONT STAND IN RED! They also complained I wasnt pulling! LIKE BITCH I AM, THE GAME TAKES 45 SECS TO REGISTER IT! Its so frustrating! You said it best, it feels helpless. Its the worse for tanks I think because one "mistake" can mess up a whole run. Its really killing the fun for me.

Honestly, the lag i can deal with. What i can't deal with is the random and insane amount of random disconnects I've been getting. Over the last 2-3 weeks i will randomly disconnect at least 10-15 times a day (usually they happen upon me signing back on after i got dced).
I had my first dc in a very long time. Reset my router right after.
This lag in comparison with the one on the Nintendo Switch is heavenly.
This DLC isn’t out on the switch yet…..

I did a run yday where we 1st and 2nd are no problem, we get to last boss and ppl don’t understand that every thing they experience as another the tank is experience a second later along with our powers not showing up on time. Brainiac 1 shot the tank gets the animation and effect after everyone “GrAb AdDs” let’s leave the ads up and let 2 sets of skirmshers legit 4-6 skirmsw out and make the tank get destroyed. They don’t understand that these adds stun stun stun then you get caged then your coming out of 3-4 stuns to a 1 shot. And THESE ARE “ELITE PLAYERS” WHO DONT UNDERSTAND THIS. I really got kicked in this run because ppl can’t burn ads. Meanwhile my league late is legit doubling all of them in dps 😂 right after my boot and my league mates dipped I stayed in the group just to watch their health bars and guess what they died in 20secs 😂 meanwhile I’m holding it down till the last phase of his health every go while having 7ads on me every time I “die”
You know I thought it was just me for like the 1st 3 days. I'm still on ps4, so i thought it because of the old console.
Then my friends on ps5 said they're lagging as well. I realized this a server issue 😂
I go back & forth between both versions the Ps5 version lags worse than the PS4 version somehow lol

@antviper135 yup I got scammed 50$ which they have yet to return :) saying that the MC was delivered and never was :) submitted a video to sony and daybreak no one gives a fuck not just video games either in general. This world's server is lagging . That's why.

I tried to return for the new content. I can't make myself deal with the state the game is in for so little content. I miss the game but won't tolerate the lack of priority to fix the lag.
Was fortunate... did not lag much so far.... only a bit in the second fight in the Alert.
But today..... after 30 minutes.... If I am in a Raid the game freeze.... and I have to log out and log back in.

I was in command and it went perfect yesterday. No lag at all. Then today? It was awful when I was playing. It feels random.
Best believe that new booster bundle and time capsule isn’t delayed. You would think all hands on deck trying to fix the game, instead they still working on capsules 😂😂
Lag is killing the game, but it has happened for about a month or so, it's just that it was just some days, most days was decent to really good, now, i have to downgrade graphics to ps1 level, and still feels like walking trough mud.

@@dragonleeman1283 yeah, but honestly, i tought it was my cpu, since we have been in the middle of a heat wave that goes as high as 60°C, and i don't have air conditioning, so my px was overheating, but i buy a cpu cooler that it's very efficent, so now i'm completly sure the lag is from the servers, and as i said usually the day of the reset and 2 days afther, the game run smoothly, except in some raids, then goes slow and usually the day before the reset the lag make it unplayable, so i guess it has something to do with the servers cache. but now everyday it's a killer lag day, well, it's not the first time this happen either.

Been so frustrating in these 2 raids blocking 1 hit mechanics just to get knocked out anyway because of the lagg. It's incredibly frustrating!
Just to be the devil's advocate here. While I've certainly suffered from "lagitis" in the past, I've yet to experience any noticeable lag in this new episode. I have a PS4 and a PS5 and it doesn't lag on either of them
Lag out causes loot locks which cost replay badges which cost money. Theyre you go the reason for anything dcuo does is money. I bet all the devs are spec under villians jezzz

The Switch has had this issue since launch - NO CAP. Thanks to the outcry from PC and PS players, Daybreak could finally see the bigger issue…game has issues!
The game has been recycled so much it can't handle it any more .. The game is literally giving up on its self

Been playing for 5 years, never seen the lag this bad. First time I truly don't want to play the game. The Hall of Doom Raid I ran today on my gadgets DPS, could not get a weapon combo to go off the whole run.

I don't think they thought some of this DLC through. For instance they decided in their infinite wisdom to make one of the open world bounties hundreds and hundreds of Brainiac Tumblers. If you knew you had lag problems already, filling an area with thousands of distinct jumping objects wouldn't seem that smart..
Open world lag is workable, it's during important times like boss fights where the lag kills us. Figuratively and literally.
Great point, I was rage tanking a new raid and felt like I had no aggro. I will say the ps5 handles lag better but yea, the devs need to go to work.

This lag has been super bad since the Spring event, and though the lag was bad before, it is monstrous now. I get server Kicked lots as well, in the middle of instances and missions
It’s a complete joke. Even the ps5 version is terrible, amount of time the app crashes is stupid plus the crazy FPS drops. I’ve had to re download the ps4 version to play. But the lag on this dlc is pathetic, really feel for tanks. Games gone to sh*t and it sucks to see as I’ve been playing since 2011

The lag, recycling DC map (AGAIN), recycling spindrift gear, winged eneims bugged, zone unavailable (randomly teleported to HoL or base), outbreak enemies stop spawning with plenty of time still on the clock... this episode is complete trash.
I've felt the lag more during this episode, Brainiac alert, than anything. At least during SoBA or Dakota City, the devs would drop a hot fix in a day; it's been a week. Also, the winged warriors that used to spawn in Bottled DC open world? Yeah they don't spawn anymore, and haven't spawned since Saturday.
Lag is bad! Wrecks the timing on everything! Anyone else also have the problem of extremely slow loading into Duos, Alerts, Raids? My loading wheel spins for like 3 Minutes on the load screen before it lets me into the Duo, Alert, Raids...Never had this issue before.
22th of April a Thread has been made about the delay in the bug section .… over 1 Month later, the first response by the Dev‘s. It’s an audacity from there side & they talking about, that they need more infos from the community. That’s ridiculous. They have a bunch of amateurs working there.
There's a delay and there's lag....but just don't care and focus on time capsules and the next dlc that drops in September. Don't fix anything just keep pushing out half assed content made by A.I. and hamster wheel devs.....smh
We still continue playing though. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. When are we gonna take a real stand?

I was actually having a smooth run in the alert today...then a power surge fried my PS4 despite the surge protector, lol.
A lot of lag on this game but I've also been encountering a lot of glitches where I get stuck in the wall or stuck in an object where I can't even get out. I feel like they rushed this
It's not that bad for me but there are times where I do see the lag is when i'm trying to pick up a teammate and I see the cog wheel spin or not move at all, wait a few seconds and then suddenly they disappeared because they respawned.
The devs should be f***ing embarrassed right now.
I also lag while in my base. we need a fix asap. my finisher lasts for almost 10 seconds now. lag is very bad for might players as every power has a very long delay. Unplayable....

I know tons of high level players that have simply stopped playing, they have been making progress it seems but the lag keeps popping up randomly now
didnt know it was that bad over there in the US, here in the EU the raids are fine but the Alert is awful while doing the 2b onwards, it isnt lag but fps drop, was worse when the 1st 2 days it came ou now is not as bad but i still have to lower the effects to be able to do lb tho, but yeah it really is unacceptable.
This time around, I just switch phases until my loadout stops lagging...
Biggest problem imo: people login in and shopping immediately Aug stuff etc even with this trash server status.
Why should they fix anything when they still getting the money?

This raid and the alert are IMPOSSIBLE to finish in one run with such annoying lag. I decided to stop playing this week until next one because it is so frustrating to try to finish a raid/alert without having 3-5 players dropping out of the mission due to the lag and impossibility of playing a game as we should and would since most people are paying a subscription to DCUO. Daybreak should be ashamed of themselves.
One more thing I'd like to add, the lag started to me some weeks ago, just after they migrated EU servers to USA. Since then the overall experience hasn't been the same as last year for example, having sequences frozen or lagging and suddenly finding your toon dead because of these issues. Ugh

Does your Channeled powers seem slower, or longer I should say? Absorb Heat, Snuff Out & Heat Vision all seem slower to me. Was something changed with channeled powers?

My finisher drags a second or two too long
Go in your base, troubleshoot your PC or Console in different ways to get rid of delay when you log in. Once you log in and have no delay when you’re in your base that’s a good sign. Warp to the new DLC open world and test it there too and if you still have no delay then congratulations because now you got rid of delay in any instance until you log out on that character.

Very frustrating issue
Switch users have accepted the fact that extreme lag is just a part of the game. That’s why it’s hard to complete elite content on the Switch, we just can’t play content where split second decisions make the difference between a victory or a complete wipe. Lag gets us every time.
The animation delay on channel abilities is so bad bro. I use fire and when I use absorb heat I have to exit the game because I'm stuck in the animation forever

Someone told me if you go in a base without any base items or mostly empty b4 going into the instance, you get no lag. Haven't got a chance to prove it tho. But yeah lag is not acceptable

This is exactly what happened to Switch, and the community had zero f's to give. Instead of working as a community, and bringing this issue to the devs, and forcing them to fix the situation ppl bagged on Switch players, saying well its your fault for playing on a Switch, docked mode, or not. It wasn't, nor is it the players fault, but the devs. Everyone was just like well just go to PC, or PS4/now PS5 and start over. Just deal with it.
There's an old saying about how if your neighbors house is on fire, you should prob. pay attention.
As someone who played daily, spent years building my character, collecting not only paying membership for years, but so much in-game mats, auras, accessories, and time Capsules, and Resurgence capsules, don't let this shit go unchallenged.
While I'm still pissed with how crappy both the devs and community let Switch down, if you existing PS4/PS5, and PC players still love this game, do something about it, and don't let the devs just walk all over you without accountability. A lot of you may still be paying membership, this game is a business. If you are not getting the product you are paying for, and they're delivering a damaged good, fight them on this. Don't just take the lag as something to deal with until the next episode, because guess what, it will continue to get worse.
The devs don't care, and haven't cared for a long time, but the more attention you bring to the issue, the better. You need to stick together, and make it known that this behavior is not okay.
I encourage ppl to really speak up because after all the time, effort, and money ppl have sunk into this game, you should be able to enjoy it.
It's because so many people are on at the same time the server's can only take so much but it'll get better sooner or later.
The same lag was present during the end of the last episode where the game definitely had a lower population due to the content being already 6 months old

Every since Dcuo become free to play I regrettable dumped a lot of hours in my life to it, I wish I could get half that time back and put it into other things if I knew I wouldn’t really miss out on much when it comes to this game. It’s really disappointing seeing how far this game has fallen. From 6 pieces of content pre dlc. To just 1 alert and a raid…. This just isn’t the same game anymore. It’s just a second life… an one that isn’t even better than the real world

Whatever they did in the update made this game extremely difficult to play and want to run content bounty trains are difficult because of lags and dcing every other world Dakota city is a plague
I think the devs want the elite players to quit so the noobs spend money recklessly and appreciate the beauty of the reused content
Things like this are what make this game feel like an unfinished open beta/alpha game bc not only are these game breaking issues taking so long to correct/ overflowed and overlayed into the new dlc (it’s been several months with this lag on ps/pc on top of the ps5 version also being unusable), but when these issues do get fixed they’ll most likely provide no compensation for the players that endured excruciatingly through the poor quality and performance of the game. Any other game released in such a state would be giving out much compensation, premium currency, etc (probably equivalent to a 160-200 artifact’s worth of value) so that’s how I know dcuo doesn’t care enough about the player base (and unfortunately the player base is so used to this game being low quality that they even defend its mistakes). This theme of doing the bare minimum during and after fixing bugs is probably why the player base has deteriorated so much but let there be another artifact/marketplace glitch I promise it would be fixed in 2.5 seconds and the first thing they do after fixing it would not be apologizing and taking accountability but putting the bulk of energy into condemning and punishing players that may have taken advantage of said glitches. I unironically can’t wait for them to fix these glitches, give us a pat on the back and move on like nothing happened lol.
And now there’s also in game chat issues, people can join chat or hear people at all. This all just leaves me questioning where all this repurposed money from the scrapped marvel dcuo game went bc I’m not seeing it
They are beating a dead horse. They should just sell the game to Japan or a studio that can bring the game back to life, or rebuild it from the ground up.
Selling it to Japan would spike prices kinda high and really make this more micro transactions

Broken game. I was invisible during the elite alert, so I relogged and got stuck in the map, then my chat was out on top of that. This game is getting worse by the second.
Aside from this there's also an issue with a couple of different feats that aren't giving you the feats properly like in the bizarre thirty second feat and JOL red tornado feat that isn't working.
Chats keep cutting in and out. Can't run a single instance without someone being invisible. I watch someone die just for my heals to finally register and they're fine 🙄🙄🙄🥲🥲🥲
