Basically the OPN is 4/4 and the AW54JR is 3/4. The OPN doesn´t have the spruce detail for the forearm in the contour . The OPN has shielded tuners, unlike the AW54JR which are retro.
Thanks for the review. Did you need to change the strings? Would a lighter gauge be better or just adjusting the action? Cos I find mine rather painful to play
Is this guitar made of okoume instead of mahogany? If so, how does it compare to mahogany? Does it sound like a mahogany guitar in real world? Thank you so much for the review.
@@RhythmsJourneys Oh then yours is supposed to be the older version before 2019.ibanez.fandom.com/wiki/AW54JR. I am considering this guitar. But I just found that all mahogany for this guitar has been changed to okoume instead. Yours sounds really good, but not sure about the newer ones which people will get. Thank you for the review again.
Yes, definitely. The size makes it easy for newer hands and the price is friendly too. It’s much more expensive than other brands like D&D for a beginner, but quality is more superior.
dawson swinamer I had to have my luthier lower the action by chaffing the bridge. I’m more of an electric guitar player so I like then really low. For an acoustic guitar, I guess the action of this one is standard I guess.
Thanks for the review! I think I'm going to buy this guitar and learn how to play.
Deb K glad it helped! 😃
Between ibanez aw54jr and Yamaha FS800, which one is a better guitar?
Hii, do u know what differences the Jr version has with the OPN version?

I asked my luthier to adjust the action to accommodate gauge 11 strings. The bridge had to be chaffed for that.
@@RhythmsJourneys thank you. I did some tweaking and it's all good now. 😊
@@josephtan9125 glad to hear it!

Nice review man. Very insightful! Where did you buy it here in PH and how much was it?
