Tested both Slayer and AM skills on dummies. Arcane Master still has higher dps due to stacking of fire pillar from meteor storm. Slayer has good burst AOE, but its fire pillar does not stack, hence the lower dps over time.

Slayer's fire pillar stacks too, and the compound magic makes the firepillar trigger chain lightning so of there are more mobs the harder it hits
