This is what happens when you don't give/have air power. Planes and tanks can break through this, degrading back lines, supplies and logistics, blowing up artillery and radar etc. Without air power, this becomes much harder, and without enough tanks and armour, it's man on man.
Yeah I think about that a lot. Not just the dead and wounded but the generational trauma that will last in both nations for a long long time after the war ends. I hope their institutions prepare for that down the line.

All we watched was a skilled team recon a previously Russian overrun Ukrainian position. The Russian unit was a small OP on taken ground. The skilled "Ukrainians" were either doing recon or surprised early on doing recon.
This is a brilliant video. Although I have stood next to great Ukrainian soldiers and I have even sat and drank kava (coffee) and did shots with them, I am on automatic when I'm around them. If I contemplated too much about who these soldiers are I would bend to the ground in great weakness. I have so much respect for these men as I do of the brave civilians who I meet along the way. (There are women too who are near the battle zones.) The fight sometimes against russia is like David against Goliath. Give Ukraine the weapons they need and russia is doomed. This is the reason why russia is trying to influence American United States Representatives, such as MTG, and to some degree russia and putin are getting help by these foolish representatives and their even more foolish constituents who vote for them. SAD!
The behaviour of the frontline soldiers like the first aid and offering a smoke is something frequently commented on in memoirs from the Eastern Front in WW2. The phenomena as they explained it was that frontline cannon fodder on both sides share a mutual fear/respect/understanding/suffering and so with prisoners of war frequently each sides frontline soldiers would be quite humane. These authors explained however it was the 2nd echelon troops who then took charge of the prisoners who behaved in brutal and inhumane fashions with little to no respect, because they lacked the shared experience of combat and only had hate for the opposition.
Good job on giving medical aid to your enemy. I had a similar experience during the invasion of Iraq back in 2003. I had to patch a guy up that was just trying to kill me. Fun memories. Stay safe.

It's insane the fact that you are literally streaming how people kill people and you would bleep curse words.
The behaviour of the frontline soldiers like the first aid and offering a smoke is something frequently commented on in memoirs from the Eastern Front in WW2. The phenomena as they explained it was that frontline cannon fodder on both sides share a mutual fear/respect/understanding/suffering and so with prisoners of war frequently each sides frontline soldiers would be quite humane. These authors explained however it was the 2nd echelon troops who then took charge of the prisoners who behaved in brutal and inhumane fashions with little to no respect, because they lacked the shared experience of combat and only had hate for the opposition.
