great video! some years ago I got Mrs Phil to build a kit and while she didn't make a bad job, and enjoyed building it, she's never touched a kit again! (she does do a lot of cross stitch though, which is more her hobby thing) we do have some lady members in our IPMS club, and they are very talented and competent modellers.
I recently experimented with a sharpened tooth pick on the 1/72 canopies and it turned out so good it's now my go to for canopies....So I paint with acrylics over the framing with a fine brush and wait 15 mins to dry and then use the tooth pick and then repeat 3 or more times, basically until I'm happy and the paint has built up enough that it isn't still transparent....Once it's complete I brush away any small bits of dry paint with a soft brush and dip the whole canopy in 'Pledge Multisurface Polish' (Klear alternative) and leave over night...that seals the paint and protects it and gives the plexiglass are real shine...Very surprised at how good the results are and no fiddley masking tapes either...check my Lanc vid
Great video dude! Oranages done a great job a great job for there 1st time! My miss has suggested doing a video together lol could be a disaster!!! Really need to get round to doing it!
Awesome. Great work for a starter. Nicely done ma'am. Good to meet you. Oh I do see two guitars in the background. The black looks like an EX-50 Explorer and the red looks like an Ibanez. Those are exactly the ones I also have albeit mine is a silver one. So are you a Metallica fan like me??
You are spot on with the EX-50 (and yes, bought because I can play Metallica on it). The other however, would be hard to guess as it is unique. It is a Squier Bronco bass that I have modded and refinished.

That is a very good first ever kit. By comparison my first kit would look like a dogs dinner. Well done Mrs Captain!
It's been sitting on my shelf with my own builds ever since. Until you go up close you wouldn't be able to tell that it's not just one of my own!
Very nice!!!! Mrs. Cpt did an excellent job on that!
Great idea and well done on the build Oranages 🎉
