There are too many people asking whether they are gay or not here, well i don't think so but i do think i know why they are so close to each other. Firstly, they are recording outdoors, Secondly there is only one mic so with that it means that they have to be close to each other so that the mic doesn't pick up Andy and not pick up Dave beatboxing or vice versa. They have to be near each other so that the mic can pick up both of them equally because if they were even 2 feet away from each other it would sound shit. It would have been a different story if they were in an enclosed area where the sound would've been trapped in by walls. Just a thought...
