@@apexing52 Ben didn't dive, he made the OceanGate Submarine excursion there, the only place that El Rey could go was outside, I guess Ben was so used to El Rey being dirty that he saw an incident caused by him as El Rey's fault, that said, 30 second Time Penalty to Esteban Ocon
They both screwed up there. Ben took too much speed and Elrey turned in like no one was there. Ben was always going to miss the corner whether Elrey drove into him or not.

@@nottomcarterthis is toxic behavior and would lead to dirty races. The way to solve this is through proper race stewarding since the F1 penalties system is a joke and/or kicking out drivers that proved they have terrible racecraft.

What ElRey did in quali was fine. Looks like there were a couple more cars behind, so he couldn't drop back much more otherwise they might have missed the line. Then on the lap he was faster and had more than a right to overtake you.
I've been watching him for long too and agree - I get the feeling that he thinks bigger channel='I'm faster' when it's been so painfully clear and obvious that he is much slower relative to the opposition now. That's not getting started on the race strategies and stuff too...
I don't think this is an ego issue like you suggest. I noticed on myself and many other creators that I watch that when we are driving, we are more inclined to believe that we weren't at fault in incidents that we definetely messed up. There's so many incidents that I've had where I thought the other driver was a complete idiot in the heat of the moment, but when I watched the replay I realized that it was actually my fault or not as black and white as I remembered in the race.

alex battled him alot and just said he's tough, didn't say he was dirty. its down to opinion if he crosses the line on purpose at times, i reckon the drivers are split on it or he'd be gone.
Besides the end of the sprint, I don't think he deserved a penalty at any point. The quali issue was due to time running out and Ben absolutely tried to murder him at the last lap and should've been penalized. Also Ben should've been awarded a penalty for his sprint crash.
Alex wins when he wants. ElRey will be good for the league, rapid as hell but just needs to improve his race craft with real drivers a bit. He will be a positive for the league.
