Trip to MANAOS or MANAUS ? the Amazon of Brazil. ROSE dolphins and OPERAS in the jungle.

Manaus in Brazil (or Manaus in Portuguese) is the gateway to the Brazilian Amazon. A trip to Manaus is not complete without a visit to its "Opera House" in the middle of the Amazon jungle or seeing the famous pink dolphins or toninas.
The state of Amazonas in Brazil whose capital is Manaus or Manaus borders Peru Venezuela and Colombia. And a trip from these countries and other cities is possible by river, land or plane, but the amount of hours of travel depends on transportation and access.
There are several options, you can make a trip from Leticia to Manaus by boat and land as well as from Iquitos, Belem, Ecuador, Cusco or Brasilia. But to arrive for example from Mexico, Bogota or Santiago will require a plane trip with stopovers in Rio or Sao Paulo.

Tourism in Manaus or Manaus is perfect for those travelers who like nature, but also to know about history, in this case marked by the rubber era and the famous Rubber Barons that during a period of prosperity turned this small Amazon city into a power that unfortunately was extinguished when the market that bought it at the beginning of the twentieth century ran out. Along with this luxury and opulence also came the abuses against the indigenous people who were the first to be killed.
