One of the best "Keto made simple" videos ever made. I was doing all of those things until about a week ago. As a result of watching several of your videos I am slowly eliminating the mistakes and educating myself to what works! The first one was to count Total Carbs! Duh......Get rid of the scale, tape measure only! The absolute biggest one for me was subtracting the fiber in all of the keto goodies! I could eat almost anything I wanted....what an education! I am now clearing out my "high fiber, low carb" junk!! Thank you a million times over! ❤
This is soooo good! If I would have seen this when I first started I would probably be at my goal weight by now. Every new person to keto needs to see this!
Excellent advice. I feel lucky to have started Keto in a country that didn't have any keto products so I just went to natural whole foods which really worked for me. Honestly, I think a person who wants to start Keto, should just avoid anything processed until they form good habits.
One of the best videos I have seen on keto. I was having at least 3 bsrs or treats while keeping to my net carbs. Doesn't work. Btw can't imagine you two the least overweight.
On my 2 year start date I re-purged my house of all "keto" products and started eating way more protein twice a day. I have lost all of the weight I put on in the last 6 months of 2020 from letting things slip in!
Wow thank you ! I have lost 5 lbs in two months. After listening to this video I believe that the slow progress was because of all these mistakes. I’d pour heavy cream into my coffee two times a day. I’d eat more than 3 times. The cheese was a snack for me. I bought a scale to measure my food and not used it I have not purchased any electrolyte replacement. Wow you guys are so good in explaining. Thank you I will be more mindful. Have a great weekend! And I’ll be watching your videos I love them ! ❤️🥰🙏
Not sure how I’m just finding your channel, but I’m super excited about it! After watching this video, I hit those subscribe and like buttons as quickly as I could 😆 Your energy throughout the video is awesome, and the content is on point from start to finish which is so refreshing! In the beginning of my keto journey, I tracked total carbs and the weight melted off of me. As time went on, I became a little more complacent with my food choices and started tracking net carbs instead. This video reinforced why I shouldn’t be doing that, and I appreciated hearing every “why” more than you guys know. Keto On my new YT friends ♥️
A truly great video! You two have so much content that you make it very difficult to play catch up. (not a bad thing) I've been binging on your videos for a few weeks now. It's great to see how you've evolved. I can't wait to finally get to the current videos to see how perspectives have changed.
Another great video. Clear and straight to the points. My favorite bad products are sweetener packets that say 0 carbs and the 1st ingredient is always dextrose (glucose) rather than the sweetening agent.
Thank you for this video! I've gone back and looked at my food tracker and realized that I'm not getting enough electrolytes from my food. You 2 are the best! Thanks for all you do!
Lol Just on time !! I meet my macros, (ratio/proportion) all the time but always have trouble eating solo much fat. Was really worried why I keep running into stalls. Hmmm stalls seem to happen when I have ground meat o matter if it's 93/7 or 85/15. Fajitas and Cheeseburger casserole both were made with 93/7 !!
Most heavy whipping creams have additives. The only way you could get real cream is to get it directly from a cow. NO net carbs just eat plain food with low carbs. Not so many packaged stuff.
Can you do a video for the best artificial sweetener brands that are keto The best brand of heavy whipping creams . Best cheese brands condiments , etc Best coconut flour & almond flour
Enjoyed your video and learned a lot from it. You're telling us to limit meals and even beverages, yet you do videos for custard, ice cream, fudge, etc. How does this fit in to your stated advice?
Absolutely love your energy I really enjoy watching your videos you seem to nail it every time for me keep up to contents I will keep watching and keep liking it I’ve been on the keto diet for /lifestyle For two months and been Omad 30 days and today I’m ending Omad with a 48 hours fast and I am really enjoying it I love this lifestyle and I’m going to continue doing it for the rest of my long life.
Loving the Super Creamer. It is not giving me and cravings and so far not adding to the year long stall I had been in the last year, also upping my protein has helped considerably. The 1:1 is working, down 2.3 lbs
1. Eating non-keto KETO foods 2. Hidden Carbs example HWC has 0.4 carbs per TBSP also cheese, condiments, spices, and eggs 3. Eating too many "KETO TREATS" especially if you only count NET carbs 4. Overeating FAT 5. Grazing thru out the day
I changed my way of keto through Ft Westermen. For me not adding in any more fats getting it from my meats. And not overeating . Kinda watching calories .And getting much better results. No treats. For awhile anyway.❤️
Yep…I was buying snacks and ended up sick from sugar alcohols. And most keto breads have wheat etc in them…grain makes my abdomen blow up like a balloon. There is sooo much false labeling.
When I started keto a couple of years ago I was never hungry and it seemed like I wasn't eating much at all. I'm not concerned about the macros so much but I am eating more protein. I'm not concerned about carbs at all because I don't eat hardly any at all. If I wait until I'm hungry to eat then I might eat once a day or even wait until the next day cause I'm not hungry. I recently started doing alternate day fasting. I do have bulletproof coffee even on the fasting days. It's working and I'm learning to listen to my body.
Love this video. I am achieving so much with the fastings I'm doing, cutting out the snacks, and as you said, having all things with our meals. I do that with my keto chow coffee, I have it with breakfast as a nice treat :)
Fortunately, I don’t like sweets with the exception of really good ice cream. The fat factor is very interesting as well as the protein. Sadly, I haven’t been able to correlate my AM blood sugar levels with what Ive eaten the previous day. Metformin may be skewing this…but I’ve lost 30 lbs since march of 2021.
The thing I think people need to watch out for is keto bread, which falls under the total carb pitfall category. Some things we need to learn to mostly do without, and bread is a big one for me. Just too easy to overdo it!
Thank you for this. Do you know if it’s possible to overdo electrolyte powders and do they spike insulin? I think too much can be hard on kidneys maybe. Thx
It's hard to eat too much fat; fat is self limiting. Insulin prevents using stored fat. I eat a carnivore diet. I ate, and still eat, three times a day, and as much as I want. The first 4 months I lost 10 pounds a month, then the weight loss stopped, the last 2 years I have been nominally 165 pounds on a 6 foot frame. My diet is pretty simple: if it has a face (or comes from something with a face) it can be on the menu, otherwise, it's probably a plant and it's not on the menu. That's freeing because you don't have to keep track of anything. Beyond just losing fat, the diet can help with oxalate poisoning, sensitivity to sunlight, allergies of all sorts, and a raft of other health issues.
A month now and I've lost 7lbs. Yay! Is it possible to get 4kmg sodium, 4kmg potassium, and 300mg of magnesium thru supplements. Idk how to track this??? Scarey
Use their link above to the Keto Chow website and check out the Mineral Drops. It doesn't hit all three of those 100%, but it sure helps and you get a lot of the rest through your food. And congrats on 7# in a month - that is great!
You shouldn’t need to get it all through supple to since it will also be in your food. For sodium, use a high quality salt like Redmond and salt all your food. There is potassium in a lot of your foods. just use things like Redmond relyte, keto chow drops or zip fizz to supplement the rest
No they don't, For the record, diet soda can increase your insulin if you suffer from cephalic insulin response. But in that case, you can't even see or smell it. It's basically where your body releases insulin because it thinks its getting something sweet
Questions, the formula of lean body mass to àmount of protein, does that pertain to everyone or just for people trying to lose weight? How about for someone maintaining or eating low carb for health reasons?
for maintaining, you can use either lean or total body weight. if you eat 1-1 total your body will maintain. Consistently eating under the fat will cause you to lose weight

I did keto to a T and lost weight. After a week of doing it I felt like crap. Two weeks I felt worse. Three weeks I thought I was going to die. I stopped keto and immediately felt better. I’ve been on a low calorie dense, high volume diet. My blood sugar doesn’t see-saw, and my weight is slowly dropping. I feel great, always full. It might work for you two, but to me, my health was more important.
Actually, sugar free Gatorade doesn’t give you anything but sodium. We did a whole video in it. You need to consume about 4000mg of potassium a day on keto. To get 1000mg, it would take thirteen 32ounce bottles of sugar free gatorade (28 servings) You’d only being getting 1/4 of what you need and oh by the way it’s also will give you 22 carbs. Check out the video. ua-cam.com/video/gyO_mEIna6U/v-deo.html. 2krazyketos.com/2019/09/30/breakdown-of-electrolytes/

It's possible but difficult to overdo electrolytes on keto. If you are drinking fluid, excess will get flushed out

Keto chow drops, Redmond Relyte, and for magnesium, keto chow or Equip smart sleep
