Interesting. All the more reason to buy older equipment, DSLRs and older lenses. I'm a Nikon user and have stuck with F-mount cameras and lenses, mostly for the ability to have more options by buying used equipment, but also because I do not like the trend of newer Z lenses having firmware in them that requires updates. That seems really silly to me. Many of the world's greatest images have been taken with lenses manufacturers try to tell us are obsolete or vastly inferior to new lenses. I guess I'll just be obsolete (of course if you are over 40 you're obsolete these days according to marketing, ha!). Thanks for this interesting info - cheers!
Everything is the best they've ever made, until the next product release. Then it's trash. I like being able to print to my Selphy printer from my phone. I don't want to need a Canon ID to do that after a software "update".
Printing used to be the way to avoid on-line image robbery. Now they want into your printer.

No more Canon for me.
The EF bodies are great, though I'm concerned about my Selphy printer. I like printing from my phone. I don't want to have to use an SD card.
