WOW!!! really good work. I have added this vid to my hiking research playlist. The steap steps and the journey through the moutains sounds like great fun.
That is so cute (kawaii), educating and beautiful (utsukushii) at the same time! Thank you very much (doumo arigatou gozaimashita) for uploading this video! :D
Wow....another piece of Japan I knew nothing about. Thanks for sharing your video and knowledge! It seemed very tranquil there. Does it ever get crowded, even on weekends, like so many places around Japan seem to? (I do live in the city so I suppose it's often crowded at Jinjas in this part of Japan!)
Nikko, Toshogu is usually packed with groups of students in the school excursion( Shugaku ryokoh). This video must have been taken off season. We visited there when we were in the middle school.
Hey how long did it take to build that shrine or castle ?It looks like it would have taken awhile taking all that stuff up that mountain? Hey you guys ever been to the Imerpial Palace in Tokyo ?
LOL i just realized that you video recorded a bird pooping. at 6:30 if you watch the left side of the screen you can see something drop and hit the floor. you also hear a bird "caw" maybe a sigh of relief?
The cuteness factor of this is right up there with every puppy video ever posted on youtube.

I climbed the stairs from the foot of the mountain on November 3.

it must be cool having Emily around because you don't speak Japanese fluently from what i know, and she is like your mini translator...
