  • France's centrist President Emmanuel Macron is seeking a fresh term in office, with the first round of voting set for April 10.
    For much of the campaign, with the left in apparent disarray, his main opponents from the populist far right have been steadily gaining ground - reshaping the national conversation around immigration, economic grievances and identity politics.
    Then came the crisis in Ukraine, giving Macron an opportunity to show off his international experience and altering the electoral landscape once more.
    Now, as polling day approaches, it seems likely that the second runoff round of voting on April 24 will be between Macron and Marine Le Pen of the far-right National Rally party.
    So what has this complex, sometimes fearful, election revealed about the changing nature of French politics?

    As long as there are open and free elections then democracy is safe. It's good to have change.

    KJV, Luke, Ch. 11, Vs. 2-4.
    "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil."
    Praise God Almighty!

    I would say Emanuel Macron is better for muslim community. Because his opponent Marine Le Pin is far right wing leader and more critical to muslim. So as a muslim we should prayer for Macron in the ongoing election

    The French identity is under a crisis, today a black man and an Algerian or any north african arab can claim a french identity and are overrun by the native white population. Although this is a backfire of their colonisation but the increasing immigration from these african countries is changing the demographics. These africans or arabs don't assimilate into french culture rather create ghettos among their communities.
    If I were French I would have supported Zemmour. If you being an immigrant from a place like middle east or north africa or sub saharan africa don't have respect for western values then don't migrate to a western country. Go to somewhere in the middle east like a gulf country where you can find people of your kind

      Good point. If they want to come to France then need to understand and respect French culture and Laws. It’s simple.

      Is not a matter of if they want. Some of them were forcefully taken there robbed of their identify and culture. Like u said the evil of the past (colonization) is hunting u. So deal with the karma.

    • @gnomesaregay9105
      @gnomesaregay9105 Рік тому

      @@mahmoudceesay1621 Exactly. Moreover, I live in France and have worked with and known a good number of migrants. And in general the "problematic" ones, without Western values, aren't the recent migrants but the children of migrants who have lived in France all their lives in ghettos that the municipality doesn't put enough money or effort in giving them decent living conditions you'd expect to find in a Western country.

    • @gnomesaregay9105
      @gnomesaregay9105 Рік тому

      Well you're not French and probably don't live here, let alone in the town with possibly the biggest migrant portion of it's population, so perhaps shut up about what you don't know.
