She Was Naked 50 (B&W Film Video Edit)

In 1970 scoorde Supersister een zomerhit met hun debuutsingle She Was Naked. Eind juni, toen de single nummer 11 in de Top 40 bereikte, gaf Supersister een optreden op het Holland Pop Festival in Kralingen voor zo’n 80.000 man publiek.
She Was Naked was ook in 1970 een atypisch geval in de hitparade: een dromerige stem en cryptische songtekst, gregoriaans aandoende koorzang, een ritmesectie van aanvankelijk jazzy en vervolgens heavy slagwerk, een grommende fuzzbasgitaar, een vlinderende dwarsfluit en een hevig krijsend orgeltje. Het stond er in twee opnamedagen op. De rest is hi(t)story!

Even in 1970, She Was Naked was an atypical track in the hit parade: a dreamy voice and cryptic lyrics, Gregorian chant, a rhythm section advancing from jazzy to heavy, a groaning fuzz bass guitar, fluttering flute and a forcefully screeching organ.
