[Verse 1: P.T. Barnum] Right here, right now I put the offer out I don't want to chase you down I know you see it You run with me And I can cut you free Out of the drudgery and walls you keep in So trade that typical for something colorful And if it's crazy, live a little crazy You can play it sensible, a king of conventional Or you can risk it all and see [Chorus: P.T. Barnum] Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play 'Cause I got what you need So come with me and take the ride It'll take you to the other side 'Cause you can do like you do Or you can do like me Stay in the cage, or you'll finally take the key Oh, damn! Suddenly you're free to fly It'll take you to the other side [Verse 2: Phillip Carlyle] Okay, my friend, you want to cut me in Well I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen So thanks, but no I think I'm good to go 'Cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in Now I admire you, and that whole show you do You're onto something, really it's something But I live among the swells, and we don't pick up peanut shells I'll have to leave that up to you [Chorus: Phillip Carlyle] Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I get to play 'Cause I got what I need and I don't want to take the ride I don't need to see the other side So go and do like you do I'm good to do like me Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key Oh, damn! Can't you see I'm doing fine I don't need to see the other side [Verse 3: P.T. Barnum] Now is this really how you like to spend your days? Whiskey and misery, and parties and plays [Phillip Carlyle] If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the talk of the town Disgraced and disowned, another one of the clowns [P.T. Barnum] But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little Just let me give you the freedom to dream and it'll Wake you up and cure your aching Take your walls and start 'em breaking Now that's a deal that seems worth taking But I guess I'll leave that up to you [Bridge: Phillip Carlyle] Well it's intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly So what percentage of the show would I be taking? [P.T. Barnum] Fair enough, you'd want a piece of all the action I'd give you seven, we could shake and make it happen [Phillip Carlyle] I wasn't born this morning, eighteen would be just fine [P.T. Barnum] Why not just go ahead and ask for nickels on the dime [Phillip Carlyle] Fifteen [P.T. Barnum] I'd do eight [Phillip Carlyle] Twelve [P.T. drop the lower note, or stretch. most people can reach a 9th or a 10th, so they have to drop the note. I would add a B in the left hand to compensate, between the 2 E's.
That’s a way to remember the middle keys on the bass clef in sheet music. The middle keys are F A C E so people just say face to remember it. Just thought you’d might wanna know if you wanna get into sheet music :)
OMG I love this song, best tutorial for this song. I watched the movie 2 days ago and I’ve already got all the lyrics of every song of by heart in my head

Who is that one poor horrible mis-guided soul who has disliked this video????????????......I will find you and I will........ Edit: XD take him to the other side.....heheheh thanks....
P.T Burnam you are a legend as you gave me a place in society!. I'm a freak in my home city I moved away, joined a type of circus that travelled round the country and I now know how to entertain people for good and not for their petty amusement!. Sadly the circus I was at shut down due to so many complaints about the locations but HEY!. I'm not seen as a freak but still cast as a outcast!.
hold on just asking are we arguing?. I'm confused, All I'm saying is that because he created the circus, he's given me a place in society where my weirdness and somewhat talent is able to amuse those who deny me!, he gave me a home, friends and an actual family.
Cardist Magician well, I loved the movie and this version of Burnham, but a lot of it was made up, I copied a few things from Wikipedia to show some of the things he did: “In 1835, when he was 25, he began his career as a showman with his purchase and exhibition of a blind and almost completely paralyzed slave woman, Joice Heth...Though slavery was outlawed in New York at the time, he exploited a loophole that allowed him to lease her for a year for $1,000... Heth died in February 1836, at no more than 80 years old. Near the end of her life, Barnum had worked her for 10 to 12 hours a day, and after her death he hosted a live autopsy of her body in a New York Saloon. Their spectators paid 50 cents to see the dead woman cut up, as he “revealed” that she was likely half her purported age a creature with the head of a monkey and the tail of a fish, known as the "Feejee" mermaid (an object comprising the torso and head of a juvenile monkey sewn to the back half of a Barnum followed that with the exhibition of Charles Stratton, the dwarf "General Tom Thumb" ("the Smallest Person that ever Walked Alone") who was then four years of age but was stated to be 11. With heavy coaching and natural talent, the boy was taught to imitate people from Hercules to Napoleon. By five, he was drinking wine and by seven smoking cigars for the public's amusement).”
Cardist Magician but......the circus in the movie does not have anything like the REAL circus of p.t.barnum......and by the way, yes,the movie is incredible, but the real story is not a inspirational and happy place type of story......sorry
I record myself playing through my keyboard, which creates a Midi file which you can then plug into Synthesia which creates the piano roll. I'm thinking of making a tutorial on how to do it someday in the future actually!
I love this tutorial and would gladly buy the sheets in addition to your other tutorials of The Greatest Showman but there seem to be no sheets for this song... Will they be added or do I have to use another tutorial for this song? Apart from that, really great work, I couldn't be happier that I found your videos!

Cardist Magician Burnam was not a good man
Alex Hodgkinson yeah, he was a horrible man in reality, try looking him up...
hold on just asking are we arguing?. I'm confused, All I'm saying is that because he created the circus, he's given me a place in society where my weirdness and somewhat talent is able to amuse those who deny me!, he gave me a home, friends and an actual family.
Cardist Magician well, I loved the movie and this version of Burnham, but a lot of it was made up, I copied a few things from Wikipedia to show some of the things he did:
“In 1835, when he was 25, he began his career as a showman with his purchase and exhibition of a blind and almost completely paralyzed slave woman, Joice Heth...Though slavery was outlawed in New York at the time, he exploited a loophole that allowed him to lease her for a year for $1,000... Heth died in February 1836, at no more than 80 years old. Near the end of her life, Barnum had worked her for 10 to 12 hours a day, and after her death he hosted a live autopsy of her body in a New York Saloon. Their spectators paid 50 cents to see the dead woman cut up, as he “revealed” that she was likely half her purported age
a creature with the head of a monkey and the tail of a fish, known as the "Feejee" mermaid (an object comprising the torso and head of a juvenile monkey sewn to the back half of a Barnum followed that with the exhibition of Charles Stratton, the dwarf "General Tom Thumb" ("the Smallest Person that ever Walked Alone") who was then four years of age but was stated to be 11.
GOOD MUSIC

Great job on this!

I love this song!good song
I love everything about this! Agh! I wish I was this good! How do you make this? Anyways! Hope you do all of the soundtrack!
JessGrimes _ there is a online keyboard where he can plug in the notes and speed and it will play it for him
I record myself playing through my keyboard, which creates a Midi file which you can then plug into Synthesia which creates the piano roll. I'm thinking of making a tutorial on how to do it someday in the future actually!
Jon Pumper Yes’ thank you lol
Woah! I almost forgot to watch this playlist today. Silly me. LOL
F A C E
my fav!!
I love it
At the start I really like the base/left hand
I love this tutorial and would gladly buy the sheets in addition to your other tutorials of The Greatest Showman but there seem to be no sheets for this song... Will they be added or do I have to use another tutorial for this song?
Apart from that, really great work, I couldn't be happier that I found your videos!
Glad you found my videos too! Just made sheet music for this (in the description!) Thanks for the support!
So from now on !!!
God job but ff you rewrite that lowing a semitone.... AWESOME!!
I hope you don't mind, I'd like to use this as the instrumental to a cover I'm making for this song. I'd credit you properly of course; may I use it?
Absolutely you can! Have fun! :)
1:25 the red keys say f a c e and there is a face in the background
I like it
For those who want to sing along:
Right here, right now
I put the offer out
I don't want to chase you down
I know you see it
You run with me
And I can cut you free
Out of the drudgery and walls you keep in
So trade that typical for something colorful
And if it's crazy, live a little crazy
You can play it sensible, a king of conventional
Or you can risk it all and see
Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play
'Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride
It'll take you to the other side
'Cause you can do like you do
Or you can do like me
Stay in the cage, or you'll finally take the key
Oh, man! Suddenly you're free to fly
It'll take you to the other side
Okay, my friend, you want to cut me in
Well I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen
So thanks, but no
I think I'm good to go
'Cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in
Now I admire you, and that whole show you do
You're onto something, really it's something
But I live among the swells, and we don't pick up peanut shells
I'll have to leave that up to you
Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I get to play
'Cause I got what I need and I don't want to take the ride
I don't need to see the other side
So go and do like you do
I'm good to do like me
Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key
Oh, man! Can't you see I'm doing fine
I don't need to see the other side
Now is this really how you like to spend your days?
Whiskey and misery, and parties and plays
If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the talk of the town
Disgraced and disowned, another one of the clowns
But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little
Just let me give you the freedom to dream
And it'll wake you up and cure your aching
Take your walls and start 'em breaking
Now that's a deal that seems worth taking
But I guess I'll leave that up to you
Well it's intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly
So what percentage of the show would I be taking?
Fair enough, you'd want a piece of all the action
I'd give you seven, we could shake and make it happen
I wasn't born this morning, eighteen would be just fine
Why not just go ahead and ask for nickels on the dime
Fifteen
I'd do eight
Twelve
Maybe nine
Ten
Don't you wanna get away to a whole new part you're gonna play
'Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride
To the other side
So if you do like I do
So if you do like me
Forget the cage, 'cause we know how to make the key
Oh, man! Suddenly we're free to fly
We're going to the other side
So if you do like I do
(To the other side)
So if you do like me
(We're going to the other side)
'Cause if we do we're going to the other side
We're going to the other side

1:25: FACE
Desperate for this sheet music! Will you be putting this on musicroom?
Sheet music is now up!!
Easy version please?
UniqueBloxxer
In other words, a version you don’t need 14 hands to play
I think you can cut the orange notes, but you would not have the background sound anymofe, just the "dialogue"
