I honestly love the idea of the souls just sticking near Xeno and M during their turns, and staying with said puppet masters during the two's moments where they clash like that
i would have liked it more if the original souls there didn't disappear and just slowly took up the screen doing different mechanics created specifically for this mod.
I find it charming how the souls never leave sonic.exe's side as if they are still there to fight even though the real reason is because their held there against their will

Context: Xenophane suddenly gets turned into a minecraft amethyst for some reason, Mario.exe laughs at the humility until he suddenly turns into a chunk of Italian meat (idk what kind just bare with me) and the tables of who laughs at who's humiliation turns.
The cinematics are epic, they are very well animated, likewise the sprites, although the vocals could be better, they sound stuck in some parts, even so, a very good mod 20/10 and GOD.
Okay, this mod has potential. But like, sonic and Mario's voices are kinda quiet in you can't jump, and also a few other things. Other than that this is very good
alright, a few things a. mod was originally made from scratch, so there is some weird quality to it b. you can't jump got a remaster/replace, its called Waters of Sin now and sounds WAY better c. this isn't the full 1.0, all the extras haven't even been ported yet (but there is a standalone mod for Lost in Obscurity (Beyond Human.exe vs EXE/faker) 4. there is ALOT plan for 2.0, such as Mario and the music box (Malice) vs Needlemouse (Sarah), Maker.exe vs Fatal Error, and Somari VS Sonichu, and much MUCH more

I would have loved that they really used the voices like the original songs, in triple trouble and you can't run, the essence was lost, the voices did not match at all ( except the part of Knucles, that most of the original theme was respected)

It was a neat idea and a cool concept, but I can't really give it more than a 5/10. The vocals were pretty bad and can barely be heard. A good example of that would be Knuckle's part, you could barely hear the man. The songs were pretty mid, triple threat was fine I guess, but the vocals were a hit or miss. The other two songs were...eh. The cutscenes though were great. They may not be the most refined, but they were fun to watch, and the ending was funny asf. One thing I heavily dislike was the amount of screen fading in and out during all the songs. Feels bad for anyone trying to FC the damn songs.
