@@TheJMedia Poppet style valves like these should be adjusted like this: Start the car and loosen the spring all the way, the valve should be open at idle…then slowly tighten it until it shuts. Then maybe give it a half turn or full turn more and then tighten down the lock nut and give it some revs. Should blow off smooth with no compressor surge. Obviously you want to look into it to see where the valve is at when you’re adjusting it.
It sounds like the bov is not opening as the chopping wind sound is from the pressurised air going back to the turbine
I've heard from others that the spring rate in the bov might be too stiff. If I get springs that are not stiff, would you it help?
@@TheJMedia I’m not an expert but I’m assuming so. Honestly the sound on the video is exactly what my non bov turbo kit sounds like
Mmm I see. I previously had a recirculated bov set up and it kind of sound the same now even after I changed to release to atmosphere
@@TheJMedia don’t suppose you can try putting back the hks bov and see if it solves the hesitation?
I already sold the hks bov so no going back haha
Thanks for the video on that ARC bov!
No problem! I've been searching on UA-cam for arc bov videos and not many out there
Would u recommend arc bov or go fast bit for my 04 Sti .. I’m tuned on speed density
I like ARC because of the rarity on it since it is discontinued. Heard good things about go fast bits too
Can the car beat the '15 civic si
I'm sure it can. Haven't went up against one but horsepower and torque it's more
Do you run the arc bov recirculate?
I actually have it released to atmosphere now. My old hks bov set up was recirculating
What steering wheel setup is that ?
It is a Voltex steering wheel. 1 of 100 made worldwide. It is a Nardi x Voltex collaboration piece
@@TheJMedia but what hub is that and is that tilt instead of quick release ?
That is the works bell short hub and works bell tilt hub. I previously had a quick release set up but changed it out.
@@TheJMedia awesome thanks I am gonna get my setup like that and yes getting a wheel also limited 1 out of 100 also :)
That's awesome! Good luck with your build!
How much for that hks bov ??
Sorry I already sold it locally!
@@TheJMedia how can I get in contact with Rick from rally inspired ? Need a tune ony lancer the one I got from this other guy kinda sucked 💀
Yea you can contact him through his website www.rallinspired.com, Facebook page or Instagram @rallinspired
You have that spring wayyyy to tight. It’s not even blowing off properly.
Thanks for the tip. I bought it like that used and have not taken it apart to change springs

Wow great tip! Thanks for sharing! Not much info on the arc blow off valves and I was even told to maybe replace the whole spring
