Thanks for sharing last yr I sold a mixture of functional and ornamental. This yr at the craft shows it was all functional except for the preorder of melted snow, Everyone liked and commented on the snowmen but never sold one
I love the transparency you give! Its really helpful to someone like me as I'm just starting to get into the game of selling pottery. Thank you so much for making your videos! :)
@ wait a second ! I will send it! But be aware it is not up to your standards yet! I am still working on it! Any tips, suggestions are more then welcome! But first have to get ready for my next market!
When you say you keep updating the store for the algorithm.... do you mean new listings or something else? How do you keep Etsy's computers interested? 😂
Thank you for sharing, I was wondering what happened to my etsy sales, they're practically non existent. Since now algorithm favors production and massive stock amounts over small, nieche art makers, my shop is no longer shown. I can never have 50 items in the store and.multiples of items... it's sad that this is the change. I used to sell very well on etsy. I guess time to find another way
That makes me sad. I love to see a variety of artists on that platform. Though just yesterday they were showing some tea cups next to mine, and I looked into it... and they were all made in China. They were pretty, just of the mass produced variety. I hope at least some customers can see the difference.
Etsy sales have seemed to be falling year over year for me. Nov '22 I had over 600 sales. Nov '23 was a little shy of 400. I'm on target for around 200 this Nov. I've been a star seller the entire time, ship fast, all 100% hand made items. I just think my niche and Etsy's user base has contracted a bit.
I've been hearing that from a lot of people. I know the Etsy sales reports have been showing good numbers, but it definitely doesn't feel that way to the sellers. To achieve the same numbers I had two years ago, I have to post twice as much.
Slumps, I've had a few. Thanks for this list of ways to get your Etsy shop back on track!
Thanks for watching!

That's interesting. I feel like when the economy is tight people can more easily justify the purchase of something functional.
Awesome job figuring it out and turning it around.
Thank you! Cheers!

Another super helpful video - really appreciate the insights and advice. Hope you finish off November strongly! 😊
So glad it was helpful! I am hoping the end of November will be excellent. If I can get stuff done, I've got a new product to launch next week.

I did see an ad for your shop on UA-cam
That's cool! I want to see it, lol. I definitely haven't paid for any advertising on here.
@@threelittlepotters yup. I did a search for pottery trees and the ads popped up. It was an Etsy ad with a picture of your trees with a link
