    Madam, if we use present tense in the dependent clause, we must use can, will, shall, may or must.
    Is this correct?

    I thing you are telling the future usage could method is wrong in the 'if'.
    Because if independent part takes simple present verb, the if part takes
    Will, shall, can, may, must. I thing so madam
