I think you are one of lot people who understand what is the parkour. Thank you for everything. I training for 2 years, but you still my inspire. Thx a lot!
@sedohrable And yeah, the idea that you need flips for parkour/freerunning is a common misconception created by the fact that "competitions" and media put so much emphasis on them. Also the term Freerunning was coined by Sebastien Foucan for a documentary (Jump London? I'm not sure) to introduce Parkour to an English speaking audience. It was just a rename of parkour, which was a rename of l'Art du Deplacement.
ooh man what a video! everytime I watch your films it seems like im elevating my soul and purifying my mind from all negativity around us. thanks once again for sharing those, its always a pleasure and source of inspiration to watch. one love bro.. stay strong.
11 years ago... Man it's been a long time. It's still as important to me as when it first came out. I just wanna say that I am grateful to you for this video :)
I like the calm atmosphere of the video. It doesn't look like you're doing overpowered jumps you're not yet ready for like in other videos, I like how you show when you don't quite get it right, and your upper body strength seems to be in league with your lower body, if that FAST muscle up at 2:54 was anything to go by. This is a better representation of parkour than that comercialized Jump City Seattle crap. Hopefully the army hasn't been too harsh (or easy) on you. And Feiyues FTW.
man if i was you i would be so proud to have this as my video... your moves are sick and they look so fluent. hope you get back well from the army and pick up your training, your a natural :) keep safe x
dude ur one of my favourite film maker/ tracuer all ur vids inspire me i'm sad to see u go for a while but good luck at the army and really good vid again man :)
Just wanted to mention that I really enjoyed this video. Great power and excellent flow. Your moves look smooth and effortless. Anyway, I'll miss the updates while you're away. Cheers and best of luck!
Everytime you train with someone, you learn something new. This video is dedicated to those who i have learned from. If you think me as a model and get inspired by what i do, i'm happy about it. That is one of the reasons i make films; to inspire people.
The best vid so far from you Joenkkoe, again more fluid, maybe not more creative, however I really liked those ideas which appeared here in this movie. Good luck in the army, hope you're not finishing trainings at all. All the best from Cracow (Poland) to you and all GFR. :)
Watch the other's videos description and you'll see. I liked. Everything seemed so easy and there weren't any pressure doing movements you did. Like in your other videos movements seem like I might do that, but in real I do not. The army isn't the end or half way to your parkour. It's start ;). Good luck there and hopefully I can lift my big ass and come there to train with you someday :D.
Dope video, keep on. Think of the time in the military as an opportunity of training PK in another way, all kind of exercises etc. is a way to get better. No exceptions. You will probably grow on the time in military ;) Dont look at it as an negative thing according to parkour. Good luck in the army and your journey. I enjoyed the use of music in this vid, peace out.
@sanchezflow008 Thanks for such a good comment. Army definitely was good for me, I got so much mental growth in there and because of that my training has evolved a bit. I have always felt upper body should be trained more since legs are naturally so strong. And yes, Feiyues love x.
Hey man, Im loving your videos, your spirit of training is inspiring. Im 15, and Ive known parkour for 2 years, but Im looking for how I want to train. How do you build your training? do you have a certain plan, or do you just mix strength training and drills outside?
i don't think u ll drop so much in level, i geuss u ll keep up your strenght in the army. And technics u pick up real fast again. i think u ll need a few weeks and u ll be back to your old skill when u get back from the army, u ll see. Enjoyed your vids and i hope u find what u seek in the army :)
Slow? Of course, but boring? Not so sure of that. It was interesting watching him piece together movements AND decided what was important enough to him that he would put it in the video. For all we know he might not come back from war and this is all we have to remember him.
Huippu video taas kerran Jönkkö. Musat sopi hyvin, vaikka olikin vähä erilaisia kun ennen.Ja suoritukset oli taattua Joenkkoe laatua ;p Toivon että päästää taas pian treenaa sinnepäin.
the shoes are feiyues and originally were build for kung-fu/wushu if you were them it's almost like training barefoot, there's no absorption at all, just a very thin rubber sole if you land properly they are very comfortable, but if you do something wrong it will hurt
Ay dude, hope you get this, but im really intrested in parkour, but i dont have nearly enough strength and power like that of yours, can u maybe suggest some excercises beside just practice? and any tips on balance etc,oh and btw what shoes are u wearing, thye look perfect for parkour. id really appretiacte a reply, hope its going well in the army. All the strength in the word. C. Craff
Alo Very inspirational video, do you go to the army because you wanna or is totally necessary in your Country (personally I think is great, well just for six months or something) what brand of pants are you wear in this video? Go home soldier :)
that's really nice training. since when are you practising parkour? I'm inspired by you and your skills...i hope to get as far as you...but i'm training only 2-3 times a week. do you often train alone? ... i don't want to, because i think it's too boring :/ greetings from bavaria ;)
@chrisacrafford If you really want to get strong, go for olympic lifting and get rings for bodyweight challenges, but basic dips/pullups for upper body is a good start. Parkour training in itself will work your body a lot. My shoes are called feiyues and I use cheap chinese ones, not the fancy french sneakers. PS. I'm done with the army now.
For shoes i recommend... Feiyues! My pants are just regular nike college pants, in 5 different colors =D They sell those everywhere here in finland. In 19 years in the making i have white feiyues and now i use black ones. Or did you mean pants? They are nikes... : D

I love your style so much
@sanchezflow008 Thanks for such a good comment. Army definitely was good for me, I got so much mental growth in there and because of that my training has evolved a bit. I have always felt upper body should be trained more since legs are naturally so strong. And yes, Feiyues love x.
Holy dang! That climbup was godly! Also, what camera was that, it was so beautiful! I really enjoyed the color correction at 2:33 and 3:02.
No. I'm glad you liked the video, I answered your question and then told I'm not interested about UF. Is that being sound?
@Joenkkoe What songs are you playing man? awesome music, could you pl4ease post the artist and song names? thanx man.
wow.. ur leg strength is incredible for you to wear fei yues and having done such drops and precisions!
Hey man, Im loving your videos, your spirit of training is inspiring. Im 15, and Ive known parkour for 2 years, but Im looking for how I want to train. How do you build your training? do you have a certain plan, or do you just mix strength training and drills outside?

I thought in the army you train a lot...
maybe you can improve at the army...
well, good luck...
May the force be with you ^^
the shoes are feiyues and originally were build for kung-fu/wushu
if you were them it's almost like training barefoot, there's no absorption at all, just a very thin rubber sole
if you land properly they are very comfortable, but if you do something wrong it will hurt
It's like if some normal guy see a backflip and goes like 'wow'. Then he see a doublecork and goes 'meh' because he can't comprehend the difference.
I tried the thing at 0:54 but the wall was very craggy and by passing under my arm I ripped of the skin my fingers^^
Love your Movment ;)
Verry good video
how long vou are train Parkour????
I hope it will give as much as it takes :)
really nice video man, very relaxed viewing.
what camera do you use?
how long are you going to be away? I love the precisions in the tall tree
The reosen Im asking it because my problem is always thinking of how I should be training, and I get mad at myself and dont know what I should do.

4:15 THATS NINJA!
@chrisacrafford If you really want to get strong, go for olympic lifting and get rings for bodyweight challenges, but basic dips/pullups for upper body is a good start. PS. I'm done with the army now.
What video editing software do you use to put these vids together?
Nikes in every part.
good luck with army stuffs..but logically, you should get even stronger in the army right? all the best!
Please, ¿Can you say me the shoes you have in this video?
Great video, great traning.
See ya.
For shoes i recommend... Feiyues!
My pants are just regular nike college pants, in 5 different colors =D They sell those everywhere here in finland.
In 19 years in the making i have white feiyues and now i use black ones. Or did you mean pants? They are nikes... : D
Yeah that was the idea but i couldn't do it. Not much space to swing back there.
I started practicing in may 2005. Yes i do train alone alot. If you think it is boring maybe you should think why do you train.
Toivottavasti ette pahastuneet luvattomasta kappaleen hyväksikäytöstä :)
Whaat! :D Like öh hulluu settii! Like öh cya soon man!

T: mikkonorthbound
How tall are you? Btw I love your videos !!!
What kind of things do you do for physical conditioning?
Your climb ups are Smooth as hell
@cmoun5 Depends at what level you are when you go in there. Physical training is not big part of our training.
