Since I have it, it was time to integrate it with my NodeRED setup - since it's using ZigBee2MQTT it will also work with Home assistant as well.

Is it a problem of range? the ZB Mini is not right next to the CC2531 antenna
Try replugging your cc2531 or updating zigbee2mqtt software

Tip, you can enable join by a mqtt command. I made a node-red flow that enable join for a time period

Hey guys, I have some question that I couldn’t find the answer for. If someone would be so kind to help a noob out. I currently have some smart bulbs but for my soon-to-be home I want to go all-in on smart switches and sensors. I am looking for a pragmatic system which won’t cost me too much so I was keen on some zigbee livolo switches I found, apparently they are on some proprietary zigbee protocol so these will not talk to HA (even with the hub)? Doing some further research I found that I could also combine the livolo ‘dumb’ switch with sonoff mini’s. These seem to be popular with DIY’ers so that would be a safer bet I feel. These mini’s come in both WiFi and zigbee, I am leaning towards WiFi since I read they install easier but for all sensors across the house I need a good mesh and the zigbee mini’s are repeaters. Any opinions on this proposal?

Personally I'd go with a ZigBee version. It's easier to integrate (no flashing) than wifi. sonoff ZB Mini can be used with existing switches and bulbs so it's a good choice for that situation.
not to be a pain in the bottom but can you check if there is a zigbee hub that is compatible with aqara switches and sensors xiaomi and ikea?
i have 68 devices on conbee ii it shats itself once a week... i need to remove that to 2 hubs and i cant find none that suits my need

There are so many options out there that’s confusing. Seems zigbee with tuya is the way to to go I have the remote button and integration from tuya.
Been going through your videos and tried to put a system together but no joy as one thing will work with another but then is not compatible with something else.
Do you have a video where its a paint by number system so this hub works with these dimmer switches and these remotes?

If you strip plastic ends from the Dupont cables you will be able to connect it without soldering
Tnx for the great video. I see that 01MINIZB is allready on device.js list, but when i pair it is still Unsupported, I dont understand why? I try this tutorial, but as soon i change configruation file and add zigbee_shepherd_devices: true - restart zigbee2mqtt, i get Bad request warning when i try so open Zigbee2mqtt and all my zigbee devices become unavailable.
I get this sometimes when I name the device in the configuration yaml. Usually extra space or something along these lines that bothers the file

I'm wondering if it's possible to connect this ZBMini to Apple Homekit, I did saw some videos about the Sonoff Mini but not about this Zigbee version, it would be nice if you make a video about for the people like me that I'm not very experienced with this. Great video and keep goig with the channel.
You'd need a compatible hub. Maybe Aqara one? It has homekit integration. That's the best bet I think.

The way I'd go about it is to run my own server and use dashboard via safari to play with automations
@@notenoughtech I'm not a fan of Apple eithet but a friend gift me an Apple Ipad air 1 and I think to use it as a control dasboard hanging permanently of my home wall.
Go for web based controls it will be better this way
