Come along with Bonnie and learn to crochet the EASY BEGINNER'S Plastic Bag Holder! This very easy to crochet project works up usually within the hour and is a wonderful addition to any kitchen to help organize plastic bags. This design gives easy access to recycling the bags by dispensing them one at a time as needed through the hole in the bottom of the bag.

Thank you for this tutorial. You are very good at tutoring crochet. I particularly appreciate no annoying music in the background. Thank you and God bless!
My pleasure!
Thank you for the bag pattern !
My pleasure!
Thank you for this lovely pattern and concise instructions. My bag came out beautifully! 13:06
So happy this worked for you!
Sometimes even us experienced stitchers need a quick mindless stash-busting project. This was a perfectly small (and useful!) one.
Thanks for doing all you do! 🙂
Wonderful idea❤
Thank you Jill! And you can use any worsted weight yarn in your stash for these!
Thank you very much 😁
Love all your videos. Thanks for sharing. 🌹
Very nice. Certainly much prettier than using another plastic bag as a bag holder. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you! You make it easy to follow and understand. I made my first one and haven't felt this accomplished in idk how long. I hope you're doing well. Sending love
Thank you! Easy and so easy to use! Great video
That. Was great!! You are a great teacher!! You explain everything in a very “user friendly” fashion. So glad I found you Chanel!!! 💜❤️💜
Thank you for this tutorial! I made a couple of these and the last one instead of doing a chain 20 to start I did a single crochet on a thick large hair tie. It gives the bottom a little more stability but being elastic it's still stretchy enough🥰
I want to make that.
Thank you for sharing ❤️🙌🏾❤️
My pleasure Faith9!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS BEAUTIFUL BAG AND BAG HOLDER!
I am loving that bag
Thanks for this pattern... kitchen gifts in the making
My pleasure Tess!
Going to my mum's for her 85th birthday today perfect travel project. Might add a loop to hang it when done. Blessings have a great day
Frances F thank you! Enjoy your day celebrating with your mum!❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed making this as we have large amounts of bags. I figured there had to be a crochet project out here to show me how to make this bag. Yours is perfect. It was easy to make and easy to follow you. Thank you
What a wonderfully useful project. 🥰
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! First, for the GREAT camera work; second for a beautiful, well made pattern and finally for showing ALL of the steps from beginning to finishing off. Always great to find an all inclusive video. Mark of a great 👍🏽 teacher. I’m working on my third bag.
Cozette Wendemu thank you for taking your time to encourage me today!😊😊😊❤️
Just what I was looking for for Christmas presents. Also good for socks and scarves.
Beautiful color and pattern. Thank you for the tutorial, nice and easy to follow along. 🌹
This is a great little project for keeping your carrier bags tidy.
Thank you !!! I just made one by following your video. The instructions are easy to follow and now I have a handy plastic bag dispenser. It is so nice. :)
Hello Bonnie I love this tutorial because I always find my plastic bags are lying all over the place - you are a star ..... nice little gift for my family as well quick and easy - you are a star!!
Thanks Ann! We creative types can use all the help we can get organizing, right? I've needed one fo these for a long time (my daughter took mine years ago), and I had the same problem with these!
Love this!!! So easy to follow. Thank you for such an easy tutorial and fun ways to use the first beginner's stitches! I love quick projects when learning new techniques; it makes it so much more rewarding and makes me wanting more.
Awesome
Mine turned out very pretty 😍 thank you! ☺️☺️
What a great idea-much better than the ones that I have purchased years ago.
Bonnie, thank you so much for this! I was looking a few months ago for a pattern for a bag holder and couldn’t find one I like. This one is perfect and I presently have this exact yarn. A win, win. Appreciate it.
Yay! So glad this worked for you Dee! You should be able to get a few of these from one cone shown in the video.
I’ve just made it!

Welcome to my channel Songbird Katie! Love that name. One of my sons loves birds and has a cute pair of budgies.
BonnieBayCrochet I am a singer and got the nickname from a few people that enjoy my singing. “You sing like a bird.” ❤️❤️
Songbird Katie love it!
Beautiful 😍
Cool thank you I'll be making alot of these. I buy those cones all the time to make dish cloths etc.
Yes, you won't need all of this, but it is the most economical way to buy this yarn!
@@BonnieBayCrochet yes I know all I buy any more and have for years I agree economy & I use it all.
Thank you Bonnie! I'm always looking for gift ideas, especially to use my cotton yarn. Love it!
Pretty nails, Bonnie!! Great project, thank you!!

Funny! I just announced the #Yarn4Earth competition on my channel last week, and this is exactly the kind of project people can make to enter the competition, so I know it's completely by chance, but the timing of this is perfect! I love how easy the pattern is and that you can make it in an hour or two and not need a huge amount of yarn for it.
Glad to help J. Hook Crochet!
VERY COOL SISTER❤
I'M GOING CROCHET A GORGEOUSLY BEAUTIFUL BAG HOLDER AND USE MINES FOR SHOPPING SO WHEN EVERYONE SEE IT WHEN I PAY FOR MY ITEMS AND ASK WHERE DID I GET IT FROM, I GOING TO PROUDLY SAY, " FROM MY SISTER BONNIE BAY ON UA-cam SHE'S A 🌟
THANK YOU SISTER❤
LYNN GUIDER you are wonderful my friend!!❤️❤️❤️
@@BonnieBayCrochet
PRAISE THE LORD AND THANK YOU😊
Thank you I finally got it done YaY
Yay! 😊😊😊❤️
Love this will be making one I have 1 cone now I could put use of it cause all I ever did with it was dishcloth 😉
Can I change my stitch to double crochet
That should work too!
@@BonnieBayCrochet Thank you so much the double worked out great
This is stunning! When you weave the chains in at the end, are they both coming out of the same hole?
I believe so Shelly!
It’s would be nice if there was something for a re usable bag, I get so many but they are so much more bulky then plastic bags.
do you have to use cotton yarn? All I have is acrylic yarns.
I think acrylic should be fine for this one. I just personally prefer to use cottons for the kitchen.
@@BonnieBayCrochet thanks
Wonder if you can make it a bit wider for those tall kitchen garbage bags?
You should be able to!
@BonnieBayCrochet I firgure it out. I made a rectangular tube with a slide slit. Works awesome.
@@Jill-ds7cs that’s great!
I ♥️your nails! Is it Jamberry?
I was admiring her nails too :) They look like a Color Street Holiday 2019 set called Snow Doubt
Love this project, but here in Oregon plastic bags are band. They don't give them out at the stores anymore.
Oh well. We still enjoy them here in the east and have many uses for them. We've always recycled them in a variety of ways.
@@BonnieBayCrochet some of us still would love to have them here as well.
Highly doubt you'll see this but if you do I was wondering if there was a way to make this but with the hole on the side for garbage bags
I'm not sure I understand the question.
@@BonnieBayCrochet I wanna make one for my bigger trashcan garbage bags but the hole would need to be on the side of the bag because of how you pull garbage bags out of there roll sorry if I'm explaining it weird I'm not sure how else to word it
@@sethezrathegodofbread That would require a complete redesign. I hope you can find one that will work for you!😊
@@BonnieBayCrochet thank you!
What hook size please
I used a size H (or 8/5.00 mm)
